@RockyM No need to update your self with anything. Enjoy your month. Insurance is not a subject which you are bound to know . Every thing will be taught. Plus use some common sense. It is a subject which is applied on and used for Common people. Just relax.
You can do one thing prepare your self to be an officer with some attitude but with humility and be humble. Humility is strength of our company.

@RitenK Please tell approximately how much negotiation takes place when it comes to the charter proposed for wage revision and the effective increase. eg the proposed basic pay for AO is 42000 and the present is 17240, so what can we expect it to be after the negotiation?
Actually I am asking this as I am working already for two years and want to compare the growth in terms of monetary benefits too.
And second question is Does it take this much long to come into effect or last tym because of NPS it took more tym and you are speculating on that basis that revised pay scale will become effective by 2015.
And approximately how many demands are accepted from the ones listed in the proposed charter.

1)Are there chances of swapping amng candidates for place of posting..like one get delhi and other get mumbai so they can mutually exchange locations with each other.. iam asking this bcoz in central govt it is allowed.
2)are there any chances of transfer to home state after some years if we didnt get it now ??
3)How are postings allotted..on the basis of some merit of marks secured in entrance exam or wht ??
4)In service agreement they asked for 2 sureties..one can be our father wht abt other...can it be our relative ? also in in some banks they asked for surity from a govt employee wht is the case with insurance cmpnies...can we make a business man as a surety as well or not ??
4)They told that bond amount may be reduced in proportion to the years spent with company...any idea abt this proportion ??

Or is it like... Engineers & Doctors in specialist category are drawing the same salary like 'any graduates' in general list...?
had written to NICL about marks but they didnt disclosed saying since u have been selected so it can't be disclosed ..... anybody else got the same reply ????
