@rahul7777 U can take a lifetime to clear these exams. There is no limit. Books from Insurance Institute is enough . But a lot of reference books are available.

2. Ya , you can apply for Hometown , that's max 3 times during service.
3.Postings are allotted based on your preferences, home town and availability . May be New India Have some other dimension as well.
4. Direct blood relation can't be surety. Any other will do.
5.Yes , bond is of 4 years . Like after 2 years if you resign then amount will be only half of what asked for.

One minor clarification......in Interview sheet one was not allowed to fill his/her home state, so i filled Delhi as my first choice and forced to fill two other places whereas if not Delhi i would definitely prefer my home state as place of posting. I am still under the impression that home state is the default choice. Can you please clarify the permutation-combination about which is given priority i.e. one's filled choices or home state??

@Gaurav1616 You made a big mistake. and I don't know who told you to fill mumbai for New India. I am not sure you'll get Delhi region or not. But Delhi-NCR is a big region, Chances are there but nothings guaranteed.

i think for your batch its compulsory to clear licentiate otherwise u won't get confirmed...pl check the recruitment notification for the same..

@sandykhanna office timings are form 10 to 5:45 . don't ask about my salary.
I may inform you that in one year 4 times your DA gets revised, making a considerable difference.
Life in National is very peaceful. you have plenty of leaves and about work pressure, It depends upon where your office is located, whether you are in Operating office or regional and of course who's your Boss.
Life to definitely bahut araam se kategi kam se kam pahle kuch saal.

@futtimaniac You could have filled in some district from your state. No one would have rejected your application. They will first consider your preferences, if there are no requirement then they'll see other options.
but sometimes they go for a place which you have not even mentioned. see one thing , that placing a strength of 300 people is not a simple task. Some cases may seem unfair after declaration. We have to fill our vacancies as well keeping in mind your convenience.
