This is a gr8 news...so now TAPMI is only Indian B-School after ISB to get AACSB accreditation...way to go TAPMI...but lets c that how it affects the placements of the current batch in 2012 placements....
This is because the exceptional candidates were given a timeline of a week to deposit the 25k as a part of confirmation. Now in case of any candidate not doing the same, the call would be issued to the next best candidate who was in the waitlist. Just it works like the normal WL concept, only thing is, this is a slow movement as not many are withdrawing their admissions with results of other colleges pending. Hope this helps!

How is the next best candidate is decided when no one is given wtlist no?
Do TAPMI have some internal wtlit no for all applicants? If yes then y they don't share that with us? At least we will coem to know of our chnances.

very very true...i havent seen any clg harassing students like this..dont take me wrongly but showing this waitlisted - kindly await for further announcement is just terrible to see everyday.. and moreover almost 150 have already been given final converts..so we dont know where are we...are we at all in the race ?? if 100 have already joined theres no point in having a w/l of 300.. so i really really dont understand why this stupid process of not disclosing the wait list numbers.

I dont think 150 ppl have been given final converts cause in the TAPMI final converts page on fb, there are less than 100 members(out of which quite a few are opting out for other colleges). So please do not get impatient and wait for final results.. Check out post #741.
I had got a convert and paid the initial 25k. I would not be Joining. Not that it matters coz the WL numbers aren't given and people will still not have any concrete idea. Thought ill put it up anyway. Congrats to all those who converted and ATB to all those who are waiting. Cheers 😃

Congrats on your conversion!! Your results may not have been uploaded as yet on the portal. the same thing was happening to me but 4 days after receiving the conversion mail, the TAPMI site was updated with the conversion info... So just wait it out!!

You can carry on with the process. I too had the same problem . TAPMI usually takes some time before announcing the result on their website. this should not stop you from sending the initial confirmation as we have oly 7 days. I called up the admissions team to confirm this.
So send the 25k before its too late!!
