Seniors, will any more waitlist movement take place over the weekend ?
Please help me out as I have to pay the admission fees elsewhere this weekend and I have to pay it since I have no other option. If by chance I convert TAPMI, I will have to pay the admission fees here too and then withdraw from there. It would become difficult to manage the expenses so please let us know if there is going to be any movement.

Hey do I stand a chance at 210 waitlist number. Were only 50 seats vacant before sending these 50 confirmation mails ? Will further calls be given only if the people from this 50 back out ?

"Dude TAPMI is not that gr8 a college. It is jus doing some marketing gimmics.
It has 44% IT placements which is not so good for a B school. So don't worry even if don't clear de waitlist.."
What is this i am w8list at 51 is he another aspirant trying to discourage others so that he may get a chance or he is genuine.

Greatness is based on perception. As an aspirant only you would know which college is the best fit for you and which college is out of your league.
And, what marketing gimmick? I don't see TAPMI marketing itself on any other forum or platform. myCATFiasco needs to learn the basics of marketing.

Hmm. Most B-schools have a huge chunk of IT placements. Check out the placement stats of the top colleges. Even they would have 40% IT placements. And how is IT placements not good for a college.
I am not sure if the statistic of 44% is good or bad for him. Maybe he thinkks the figure is more, or its too less. Either way, his argument is flawed.
My guess is, he is waitlisted at around 200 and he wants to discourage as many people as he can so that he can get into TAPMI.

@myCATfiasco: Dude, since u hv forth forth the above 2 points to Mind Rulz, would you care to elaborate on these. I am sure, it will be of immense assistance to people in doubt.
My take on the above points:
1. Apart from pg,where seniors as well as prospective students are discussing stuff, and fb, the page for converts n waitlisted folks along with seniors, I dont see any marketing done by TAPMI. N since marketing course is the forte of TAPMI, I am sure they could have done better, if they were only interested in making money thru marketing. So your allegation regarding this is unfounded.
2. Well, 44% IT translates into 56% non-IT. So people interested in joining IT sector have almost the same chance of realising their dream as ppl who wish to join non-IT. Isnt that gud, coz den almost everyone gets the chance to do what he/she wants.
I maybe missing something here, so please put forth your views on the same.
PS: I aint marketing the college here, nor am I interested in a slug-fest concerning what I have said. If you have genuine points, please do post it here!! And NOM to myCATfiasco or Mind Rulz. Just interested in getting a clearer picture!!

At 210, you have a reason to be optimistic.
Waitlist movement is always based on seats left vacant by selected candidates.
Do you have any doubt??

Is anyone there who had applied for refund and got refund or some communication from TAPMI regarding the refund of money.My refund mail reached TAPMI in April 14th,but still now I have not recieved from their side any communication(not even on email).
Can seniors please help in this regard?
Hey, even i applied for refund around a week back. I didnt get any confirmation from them though they said that they will confirm the same after receipt of the hard copy of the withdrawal application. This is the info I have:
1. They will keep the money for a month and then initiate the process.
2. The refund will be done through Check. (probably account payee)

hi...there's a change in the status message now..earlier i was waitlisted at 73 .now as 50 people were called my number has come down to 23 .and i'm asked to check my status after 7th may.Do I have a realistic chance ? i have a call from another bschool and i have to pay around 1 lac before "may 7th" and later if i get a mail from tapmi to pay 3.13 or so....it will be difficult for me to adjust such an amount..so i request seniors to take a call on my situation..."23" Thats' my new waitlist number

i dnt think it will happen as they were given a time to deposit the fees...after that the offer went off!!
