WL was supposed to be updated from today but after today's meeting it was decided that the WL would be updated only after 16th May. The reason for the shift in the date is unclear.

Marena is 3.5-4km from TAPMI campus.
Also charges in manipal less compared to mentro n big cities like Bangalore,Mumbai...etc.

yes...it might be true....but i hardly think the the time would suffice....given the distance it is from Manipal proper ( believe me i ve been living in manipal for past 4 years )

i havn't been to this fourm for a long time. my name didnt appear in the 2nd waitlist & now on the website its showing that wait uptill 17th may.....
jst wanted to confirm.....is there any chance for a call??????

I just called up the admission office.I asked them about when the results will be released and they said it'll be released only by 16th may . Then I asked them for the reason and they said some students who have already received the calls have got permission till 15th may for payment of 3.13 lakhs and so all cancellations cannot be confirmed till then. So further calls will be given only by 16th May.

Woaahh..another week..not good. And no such confirmation by seniors? They are keep on pushing the same thing..2-3 days after 7th May.
At least they can start the rolling process in the sense that when 1 withdraws they advance the WL by 1 to the next one in the list. I believe the ones offered admissions have to confirm if they are joining or not.
Time is a bit short and many colleges are already concluding their admission and ultimately the tension grows in the minds of the WL people.
If real time movement is done people will at least come to know about their chances and make their decisions on what they want to do.
At least they can start the rolling process in the sense that when 1 withdraws they advance the WL by 1 to the next one in the list. I believe the ones offered admissions have to confirm if they are joining or not.

Very true, something like online counseling is a great option. Nos. move real time and one will be able to do his maths then.

Possibly not. If all calls gets exhausted in the 2nd W/L, then a 3rd W/L would be announced. Better secure your seat at the next best option!

It all depends on how badly u wanna go and use them.. I've been using those facilities extensively.. Some more info on Marena..
Badminton,Squash,Tennis (Recent addition to the free list), TT,Basketball are all free and entry will be provided on display of the TAPMI Id card.. The gym facility is a pay and use one and is arnd 3K for a quarter..
Initially i thought it was a shopping complex and was shocked at the world class infrastructure.. Swimming enthusiasts can go to MIT swimming pool by payin a fee of Rs.200 for a quarter..

There is a gym in the college.. It is a basic one with all the equipment required.. Its not a/c one but yeah serves the purpose and it comes at Rs.200 /month
