How can a girl with engineering background and 90.25%ile in CAT get shortlisted(excellent acads) and males with 99.5 percentiles and 98.5x with good acads and workex get rejected?

Okay so if you guys really think, that these guys follow the mentioned formula, you are missing the bigger picture. These guys are also trapped in the diversity trap. Well done iit delhi. You do not call people at 99.7 but at bare 90. Okay talking about acads, I have seen several people getting rejected with cat 98 and decent enough scores. Whom are you kidding. Be fair enough, and release your official formula. Nobody minds honesty, but this is gross injustice.
I am extremely shocked..I have a decent profile (10th:80.33 12th:82.4% BTech :85%) 29 months work ex CAT %ile:97.10 sill not got shortlisted.Anybody who got shorlisted at 97%ile?
I don't think venting our frustration on a site is going to do any good.Just a thought- If you want to try change the system, how about a protest march at IIT Delhi

I didnt apply to iit d but i applied to vgsom got rejected. I was regretting that i should hav applied to iit d but seeing students with 99+ nt getting a call am happy that i saved 1600 rs for my family :D (98.81%ile fresher)
what is the full name of programs DLM and DLT. I guess dlt is telecom one and dlm is management. but what is DL?? Diploma L<..........> in management??

Why the media cell from IIT delhi is silent on the queries from students regarding selection criteria? Have some conviction and reply ...if you can justify .
As per the formula given by DOMS IITD - 60% for CAT percentile (NOT scaled score), 15% for graduation, 10% for XII, 5% for X, 5% for PG and 5% for work Ex, my composite score becomes 87.133 (I have considered 2.5 out of 5 for workex of 19 months). Without any bias, I would like to know how many are shortlisted below composite score of 87.133?
I would also lile to request to DOMS IITD, @AdCom_DMS_IITD , to accept if there is any mistake in releasing the shortlist and release a fresh shortlist correcting the mistake without deleting the names of already shortlisted, but add the people who fulfil your criteria (if you have any). Let there be 2K shortlisted candidates. But give a chance to desrving candidates. And please do not spoil the name of one of the best institutions in the country.

How many people have written to the admission office about not getting shortlisted inspite of good profiles and/or high percentile? I did and recieved a single line reply - " We understand your concern. We shall definitely talk to our administration department about your application and we'll get back to you shortly."
