How can someone give 5 marks extra to IIT NIT students and along with that 5, marks extra for gender diversity in final selection. Is IIT Delhi following the path of Rohtak ? Not allowing GEM candidates. Criteria need to be changed

What will be final criteria for shortlist?
What a pathetic decision by premier institutes of our country. They are considered best yet the can't even manange an online pi. Already most were done some were left. But they scrapped pi which is an inherent part of mba. Now those who got lesser percentile and even gave pretty good wat pi arw straight away rejected. What kind of a decision is this? Never expected from IITs. They are ready to admit anyone now without even considering their communication skills and knowledge. At least online pi could be taken coz new session won't start before September and there's still a lot of time.

I just want to ask one thing that is each one amongst IIT/NIT is better than each of the other colleges in India? Because I have never heard anyone leaving DTU,NSIT for many NITs as well. Also 5 diversity points for just being a female which is equivalent to 24 Mark's in CAT? How fair criteria you guy have come up with. Shame on you. Also how are you scaling Mark's of different boards and universities for their academic performance? In any unprecedented situation whole India looks towards your faces that you are brilliant minds and you come up with this...wow man...
When can we get the detailed criteria for selection or will they directly publish the results if so by when

choses to ignore all possible ways of conducting Pi
I see a lot of criticism here about scrapping the PI process. Many seem to think it's because the management was lazy and didn't want to conduct it online.
Just to be the devil's advocate here, there are several issues in the online PI too. If a person's voice keeps breaking up due to a bad connection, it becomes an inherent negative point in the interviewer's mind. As much as the interviewer wants to be impartial, his instinct will be to ask fewer questions than usual and be done with the candidate.
There's also a difference in the dynamic between the interviewer and the candidate when compared to a face to face interview. Stage fear and nervousness is much less, as the interviwer is just a face on the screen. I can attest to this, as I've taken many interviews this year in both formats. So there are several adavantages and disadvantages between the two formats which threaten the target group of students the college is aiming for.
Of course, not taking any interview will tilt the result in favour of the candidates with higher scores. These are all the issues the management would have considered before taking a decision. Whatever decision they would have taken, would have been bad for a specific set of students. I've seen this in the case of MDI online interviews, and several others.There's no perfect solution here.
I just wanted to say this so that people understand that it's not as easy as saying that's right and this is wrong. Thank you for reading 😄
Dear Aspirants, The updates related to pending interviews and selection criteria along with date of final results has been uploaded on the website. Here are few of the important points:- 1) WAT/PI process has been called off for the remaining candidates. 2) WAT/PI scores will not be considered for those whose interviews are over. 3) Results for DMS, IIT Delhi will be announced on 29th of May. Subsequently, wait-list will move. 4) Sessions for 1st year MBA Students will begin post August. 5) As of now, the Shortlisting criteria will be considered as the selection criteria. (Unless the Department decides to change a few parameters) The decision has been taken after a lot of discussions, suggestions, and consultation keeping the safety and security of aspirants along with fairness to all the aspirants at the focal point. But you can not be more unfair to students. Even IIT jhodhpur,which started MBA this year only has taken online interviews with very less faculties who were there to handle everything. Are you less equipt than IIT jhodhpur? I got a mail from a private college in mumbai which might not be in top 200 b schools,they even don't scrap WAT PI...what to say now

What is the revised admission criteria, please inform that & please make sure this is put on site.
Your circular says:
"CAT score, academic performance, experience and other inputs compiled from the candidates' applications will be used for preparing the final selection list"
This does not talk about how the scrapped portion would be compensated & by what criteria. Atleast we expect the new & revised criteria to be rolled out soon.

The shortlisting criteria mentions extra curricular marks. Can u please tell how those would be calculated and whether we would be asked to submit our certificates through mail or portal now? ADCOM ppl plz help.
