Best tech institutes of the country scrapping PIs...whereas they have MBA Telecom as a course...and this is after a wait of 40+ days.....history won't forgive you.

5 diversity points means around 23 Mark's in CAT. How is it justified... A DTU male with 150 Mark's and a NIT xyz girl with 104 Mark's? With same aceds and job experience.

Funny how 'Indian Institute of Technolgy' gave up on the use of Technology!
I hope they change calculation criterion to remove bias. This is really horrible. No chance for gems even at 99.8 now.

Adcom, The criteria of giving 5 extra marks to IIT/NIT and 5 marks to female candidates is biased. It will reduce the chances of GEM candidates who hv studied from other good colleges. Please make sure that the criteria is revised, if you wanna keep it u can reduce the weightage. I guess many others are effected with such a criteria which is unfair. We can all send a mail to the admission committee and let them know about this.
Scrapping the PI means the 25 marks which played an important role in the final selection are just taken away from students. A lot was dependent on the WAT-PI process, but students had the fair opportunity to turn things around in their favour.
But now, The most crutial role would be played by the Gender diversity and IIT/NIT graduate marks(Total of 10 Marks) on which someone has no control and a candidate should not largely accuntable for that. This will be a lot unfair with the people who worked hard to get into a prestigious college as IITD.
Request you to consider scrapping these unfair selection criteria in the name of 'diversity' as this is going play the most significat role now.
Gender is something one has no control over... Many worked hard to get into iit/nit.... It is similar to having good acads. So why is it that unfair when most ppl support acads weightage... I think some colleges at par with iit/nit like bits n dtu shud be included to make it more fair.

Anyone knows new selection criteria?
Dear AdCom,
With the WAT-PI scrapped, The gender diversity marks and IIT/NIT graduate marks play the most significat deciding role in final selection.
A girl with 127 marks(~95 percentile) in CAT will have the same SI score as that of a boy with 150 marks(~99 percentile) according to the current criteria.
This is highly unfair to the GEMs and their hardwok. If you can conduct online interviews, then atleast make the critera fair.
Can somebody please share the admissions office email Giving 5 marks for gender diversity and for being in IIT/NIT is rubbish We can all ask them to reduce these marks to make it maybe 2 or 3 each atleast
I just hope these 22 days are used by IIT,
to run a data analysis on past selections they have made in regard to candidate they selected.
and then come up with a serious scientific Selection criteria.
Not on the whims or mood, giving weights on intuition.
People going after NIT/IIT criteria, The worked there asses to reach there.
