This is to bring to your kind notice that scrapping of WAT and PI might have a negative impact on our chances to convert a college like DMS. We have been working hard for more than a year now to attain a seat in your prestigious institution.
Our only ask from you now is to not change the selection criteria based on a few students requests. Changing the criteria would make the process unfair for the shortlisted candidates and also for the candidates who were rejected during the shortlisting process.
People were shortlisted based on this criteria and some might have just scored above the cutoff due to the existing criteria. Also, some people had missed the cutoff due to the existing criteria and changing it would mean they had lost the opportunity which would make it unfair for those candidates.
We humbly request you to not scrap the marks given to candidates from IIT/NIT and to female/transgender candidates. Please do not change the criteria for selection
Now, Wat/PI being scraped, many are demanding to remove the extra points given to IIT/NIT students in the shortlisting process. Is it fair for the students who were shortlisted because of those points? If those points are removed, I guess it was better if I was not shortlisted so that I wouldn't have any false hope. And also in this situation the ideal way of selection would be based on the college of the candidate to ensure the brand value of the college.
I did not upload any Extra Circular in the website, however during the interview in Chennai i had submitted the extra circular certificates while document verification. As the PI-WAT process is cancelled, do i need to re-upload the certificates again or it will be considered.
Can we also have a proper guidelines on what happens next and what are we expected to do? There is lot of speculation going around PG and ...... and not much concrete information.
I have already uploaded the necessary documents and certificates on the portal. But those are not self attested.
Should I mail the documents and certificates again after self attestation?Kindly let me know.
Hii Adcoms.
I understand this is an unexpected year and everyone is struggling with one thing or the other. Taking decisions which will favour everyone is nearly impossible.
But During the form filling process, IIT CAP make us write those 3 long answers about us. SOP and all.
While IITs have scrapped the process which is unfair, please use that and evaluate based on that as well. Now their is no point in crying over whatever happens as it is in no one's control.
As it is possible to go through every applicants form and analyse it properly. You have so much time with you. If their are around 1000 calls and it would take 2 minutes to evaluate one SOP(35 hours will suffice).
You are the students of that college and definately you have some say their as well. You are always open to suggest them as this is what a students run B-school actually means. Yes,the final decisions are their call only. Thank you
Dear all,
This is to bring to your notice that I find a small flaw in the marking system of IIT DELHI MBA SI SCORE calculation criteria for year 2020-2022.
For many students there is CGPA grading system in class 10 with multiplication factor of 9.5.
If a student had scored 10 out of 10 CGPA (BEST SCORE) THE max percentage alloted is CGPA 10*9.5 = 95%
IF we see SI calculation index of iit delhi it gives 1 MARKS LESS, 5 out of 6 even if candidate has scored 10/10 CGPA.
THIS becomes disastrous as this 1 mark gap in final score for cgpa score holders, despite getting full cgpa in 10th,this can deny admission to hardworking candidates who had given CAT.
Please look into this matter and do the needful. Write to all that max score should be alloted if cgpa is 10/10 in tenth.
Allot FULL MARKS IF CANDIDATE HAS SCORED 10/10 CGPA IN 10TH CLASS i.e. 6 marks for >= 95 percent.
Instead of having these indivual polls. There is a google sheet which is availabe, I'm not sure who created the sheet, but it will be easier to check and will reduce the spam on this foroum. This will hep you calculate the SI score as well.
Seeing the situation in DFS, I would not be shocked if the SI score cutoff for merit list turns out to be 55-57 ( 99.5-99.6%ile considering avg marks in other paramters) for General.
