I am not here to defend the college management or attack it. I am just simply putting few points here and I hope you guys can give your thoughts on it.

Let's understand why IIM released the result and DMS IIT Could not !!

IIMs are independent institutes and everything entirely depends on the college administration. On the otherhand, DMS is just a department under IIT Umbrella and for everything approval from central IIT is needed.

But again why approval is taking so much time ?

Reason is central IIT has other issues to deal with

a. Final Examination of UGs, PGs (Assume the work load on a college management having more than 20+ departments) due to COVID

b. Placement issues due to COVID Scenario

IIMs don't have to deal with 7000+ students... 2nd year MBAs are already graduated and hence, not much pressure.

Some students here are questioning the management ability of IIT D. Guys, agar management padhana nhi ata IIT ko, toh ye page hi nhi hota na ye department.

I truly understand the aspirant's mindset. Everyone wants the best with minimal risk (financial or others). And you all are correct on your part that college should have declared the result as promised. But let's not bash the college in our anger and frustration. THese are tough times and we can be a little flexible I think.

Support and cooperation is the key... Have some patience. Let them do their work !!

I understand the delay in result in such unprecedented situation the world is in now but what I dont understand is that why did not they have the decency of informing us earlier that results will be delayed why on the day it was supposed to be released they tell us that next week. People are very anxious but they dont care

Similarly the criteria why cant they release it its not something which is decided at the last moment ,why such unprofessionalism is shown is beyond me.

Going by some of the recent polls people are suggesting IIT D over IIM Ranchi and Trichy. Can anybody shade some light over the reason, why? TIA.
