[Official] 2023-25 | Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal | IIFM

Hello Dear,

I hope this message finds you well. While I may not be an official representative, I am eager to assist you by providing information about the admission procedures of other prestigious B-schools. It is important to note that waitlist movement typically occurs when confirmed students withdraw their seats. Similar to many others, I find myself on the waitlist for the IIMs, so I understand the uncertainty and anxiety associated with this situation.

Please be assured that the waitlist movement continues until the registration deadline, which typically falls in the last week of June for most B-schools. I encourage you to remain patient and keep your hopes up until the end of June. I understand how prolonged uncertainty can be challenging, but it is essential to stay positive during this time.

Wishing you the best of luck in your endeavors.

Here, I would suggest the IIFM admission committee:-

To give buffer calls for the waitlisted candidates(atleast upto 15 students in waitlist) just like IIM Ranchi & Trichy because of reasons:-

The confirmed candidates will be withdrawing their admissions not before the deadline to maximise their chances at other institutions ( Thereby reducing the chance for Waitlisted candidates who are solely waiting for the conversion)

These candidates will withdraw their admission at the last moment(supposedly 25th June) because of the AICTE refund rule flexibility which will leave the seats unfilled and unoccupied like every year…

→ Hereby, I highly suggest the Admission Department to take a proper look on the situation and act accordingly.

Giving Buffer Calls to 15 students at max will solve the leftover seats issue(as their will be atleast 15 students who are also having waiting list at other institutions such as New IIMs, Baby IIMs, CFTIs, etc.) and also give chance to the waitlisted candidates who paid 1k+6k expense+waiting from 2months refreshing the one website page daily.

Thank you & hoping for Some Positivity :chart_with_upwards_trend:.

Better look for other better colleges, there are lots of them. From XIME, Wellingkar, Great lakes, Nits to State Universities all offer General MBA degrees which are more fruitful for future & ROI is better.
Never rely on a single college.

Updating of list is possible only when there is withdrawal. So, the list is not moving.

Providing individual updates to all the waitlisted candidates are not possible. Updating of list is only possible when there is withdrawal. So, the list is not moving.

We understand your concern it is well known that updating of list is only possible when there are seats vacant because of withdrawal. It’s my humble request please wait till any further update, we are also trying to felicitate you in the best way possible.

We understand your concern, thank you for your suggestion.

You are advised not to answer on behalf of the institution. All the candidates who applied for IIFM are well informed about the competitive environment and if they select any particular institution they are well aware of its Placements, ROI, and other factors. Thanks for your interest.

So what’s the last date of withdrawal??

Hello @PRExecutive ,

  1. What’s the REAL TOTAL INTAKE OF FM & SM Batch ?
The website says 150 seats and 75 seats, but some of you guys claim intake is way less? What’s the problem here?

Is this the main reason the waitlist not moving? Because you reduced the intake artificially???

  1. Is there any chance of getting buffer calls like other Top Colleges of the country?

  2. Incase you aren’t offering, then will there be any FURTHERMORE WAITLIST after the orientation program commences on 26th June?

I want to have clear information on all these,so please Answer my questions correctly.

Thank you so much.:100::100::100:

Kindly mind replying quickly :no_mouth::no_mouth::no_mouth:

Refer AICTE Norms, we follow them.

REAL TOTAL INTAKE OF FM & SM Batch is same as you mentioned, we do not believe in buffer call. As and when we have vacant seats available we will open it for next candidates in waiting list only after 26th June 2023.

Sir when is the next waitlists out & how many waitlists will be there after 26th June? If there are seats unoccupied in other category will it be converted to General seats so as to fill it with the waitlists candidate?

Just a general request to everyone.

If you have blocked seats in multiple colleges, please take your best call and leave the other seat for someone who deserves that. Please don’t wait for the last date to withdraw. Many will Loose lakhs if the last date of their withdrawal will be over.

Please make a wise decision ASAP. Don’t spoil the lives of others. Not everyone has a lot of money to block multiple seats like you.

Don’t be a selfish person! Selfishness will hurt your career surely

My waitlist is under 6, can I convert it(Ram Ram🙏)?

Are their any upcoming lists after refund date? @PRExecutive @Madhur_Raj_Jain

Next list is out today. No more list after this

No more list

So there is no chance of converting, don’t tell me this my waitlist just moved to under 6 sir ? Is it all over now?:dotted_line_face:

Now Waitlisted people will have no chance for conversion?

Why sir, people will withdraw their admissions and seats will remain unfulfilled na. .
We waited from 3months sir. How?

There will be some admission cancellation before the refund date sir, so please release a waitlist after that.

I waited and many like us waited from 2-3 months and now you’re declining anymore waitlists(whereas the other government institutions like baby IIMs release their waitlists till the Classes commencement)

I don’t see how this is done here?
