I understand that the program has an intake of 150 students, but only 90 seats are filled each year. I am curious to know why this is the case and what has been done to increase the number of students enrolled in the program and that why are you denying the pending candidates a chance for an admission offer?
Forest management is a vital field that plays a critical role in protecting our environment. The program at your university is highly regarded and has a strong reputation. I believe that there is a great demand for qualified forest managers, and I am concerned that the low intake of students is limiting the pool of potential candidates.

Creating more waitlist spots for admission would have several advantages:-
It would allow the institute to tap into a larger pool of talented individuals, ensuring that the most suitable candidates are selected for the available seats. Moreover, expanding the waitlist demonstrates IIFM’s commitment to equal opportunities and inclusivity, allowing students who may have narrowly missed the initial selection process to have a chance at securing admission.
I understand that managing a waitlist requires additional administrative efforts, but the benefits of doing so outweigh the challenges involved. By keeping the waitlist open until the commencement of classes(July 10), IIFM can maximize the potential of available seats, taking into account any withdrawals or last-minute changes in circumstances. This approach ensures that every opportunity for enrollment is utilized and minimizes the chances of vacant positions.
Furthermore, the decision to extend the waitlist aligns with the principles of fairness and transparency that IIFM upholds. By providing timely information to waitlisted candidates and keeping them engaged throughout the process, the institute can foster a sense of trust and goodwill among applicants, even if they ultimately do not secure admission. when will classes start?
Sir, please release the waitlists till July. As many students are waitlisted for some other colleges as well.
So, high chances are there that the seats will remain vacant.
We have seen the trend that almost 40-50 seats remain unfilled in PGDFM program every year.
Why can’t IIFM give the opportunity for waitlisted candidates to get converted and be a part of this great institute.

We have already released last list for vacant seats. We already exhusted with Number of seats we have If any seats remain vacant in current released list and if vacancy arises due to refund, we take a call after 3rd July onwards but the chances are very less as we are starting our classes from 3rd july onwards.
Please correct your facts. We never stop any candidate in taking admission to IIFM. Waitlist number is and every body aware of and it keeps on reducing as we relased seats against vacant seats. Due to Covid there are some seats remain vacant last year. We are having full capacity this year so why waitlist number is not moving. Thanks and regards
That does not means that we accomodate each and everybody without having seats. Our class are starting from 3rd July 2023.

I heard there were 14 refunds/cancellations from batch of 214 on saturday, there was surely some more on sunday and till monday 5pm. Kindly pleaseee update the admission status.
Classes starting next monday, and we have to book trains and arrange funds also.

I would like to emphasize the importance of immediate new admission list release after the 14 refunds/cancellations made on Saturday last weekend. This new admission list If released quickly will enable successful candidates to make prompt arrangements for transportation to IIFM (Indian Institute of Forest Management) and prepare for the upcoming class that starts next week on Monday July 3, 2023.
(Each passing day without the admission list’s release adds to our anxiety and inhibits our ability to plan effectively. We are eager to commence our academic journey. However, without knowing our admission status, we are left in a state of limbo, unable to make concrete arrangements or adequately prepare for the upcoming class start. )
A swift release of the admission list will help candidates like me to effectively plan our transportation logistics, secure suitable accommodations near the institute, and make any other arrangements necessary to ensure a smooth transition into the academic environment. Additionally, it will provide ample time for us to complete any pre-arrival procedures, gather essential documents, and be fully prepared to commence classes by the scheduled start date.

Sir i also heard that news about the refund candidates that many people have taken refund. So when would we receive the admission mail for next waitlist candidates and want to know when you will send the admission mail.
If there is a specific reason for the delay in response to the student queries, I would be grateful if you could kindly let us know. It would help me and others understand the situation better and manage our expectations accordingly.
