@suhas119 Don't go by the meaningless posts and personal attacks/war going on here. And don't go by the profiles people post here also. Only people who have something worthy enough of saying publicly will post, and few from the worried lot. Majority from the average/low acads lot will just be silent readers.

gave CAT'12 ..No hopes as such..missed out in nmat,iift..
i m in my final year of engineering..i don't gave a job yet..is that a problem? because i really don't know job ka scene banega ya nai ..if i do manage to get calls this year ..will it be a problem for me in PI? i m very down these days ..will start preparing again this week.

its really stupid for me to ask this question with a few days left for the results to come out...but can anyone give me a list of the institutes who start their registrations after the results are out...
P.S. the names has to be from the list of non IIMs clgs from cat website.

No problem buddy, just focus on getting a good written score in others exams supported by a good performance in GD/PI and that will surely get you in a top notch college. ATB for future

See having a job isn't compulsory for getting admission into a good college, a questions might come regarding your job so just try handling that question and that not a big problem for you :)

my quant is weak as compared to verbal..scored just 6 in IIFT and 69 in NMAT in Quant :(
i have arun sharma,time & cl packages..its true i had not practiced religiously..not i am going to start again ..people have written about quantum CAT in this thread.. should i go for that? is it a better book considering i am slightly weaker in quant?

1. Which material is enough/not enough will be upon your comfort levels and your current understanding of the basic concepts. All materials are covering almost all topics. Find out which one you're comfortable with in understanding etc. and go for that. Check the "Request to donate CAT material" thread (use PG Search to find that) here in PG to see if you can get other material also!! :)
2. For CAT, a good vocabulary is very essential, although CAT does not test candidates on their knowledge of difficult words directly. This is because the passages and answer options given in the Reading Comprehension section may have some difficult words. Otherwise in VA section the following are possible areas for VA questions: Critical Reasoning, Paragraph Forming (Para Jumbled Questions), Grammar, Reading Comprehension. Read this to get an idea on which areas to focus on http://www.mbauniverse.com/article.php?id=5919 in VA.
3. Algebra & Geometry are usually seen to be most important based on past CAT exam papers. Trigonometry or application of the concepts there will also have around 1-3 questions. So unless you've some previous tryst with trigonometry which is not so good, you'll need to learn the concepts. And even if you're having some bad experience you'll have to learn it!!!
@rockstar24 No book/material is comprehensive to learn a particular section in CAT. Refer as minimum as possible to learn concepts, but then to practice and do questions tap into as many sources as you can!!! And just based on 2 days (IIFT & NMAT) you can't probably say you're weak in the section. Maybe you didn't have enough practice. Ask some gurus/experts in the Quant thread http://www.pagalguy.com/discussions/official-quant-thread-for-cat-2013-25088456 for good books to refer/practice (The link is for Quant prep for CAT 2013. Use PG search to get previous year Quant threads and you'll get thousands of questions!!)
