Hi,this is Abhinav,3rd year CS,Manipal Insitute of Technology,Manipal.
I have just started my MBA preparations,joined pagalguy juss a few days ago.
I have joined Byju Classes,Manipal and the classes are just fantastic. They haven't given us a lot of material though. I would juss like to ask few questions

Q1-How much time should I give for practice/day,knowing that placements are just 1 year around and I have to manage my BE stuff too.

Q2-Should I refer other material,is Byju material good enough? What about the test series,later on?

Q3-What should be the basic approach towards CAT-2013.

Q4-Which other things to follow apart from basic CAT practice,in the sense that now 1 other section[GK] has been introduced for some exams[Not CAT]. Are there any particular sites which help you on that front or is it just the basic newspaper reading. Also,what I'm I supposed to do keep my best preparations for GD as people say,GD preparations aren't done in the last 1-2 months. You have to be prepared for it.

I have 10-11 months with me and I'm willing to give my all to crack CAT[Other exams too]. If someone could just help me by replying here or maybe,messaging me.

Would be kind of you if do.

whwhich class to join in mumbai as i am working chartered accountant. please suggest any classes which will balance wid my professional work life and coaching os also gud. so that i an crack in first attempt itself for cat.

@aanchal30 See IIM-A gives calls based on application rating which has to be 27 [I may be mistaken but i think 24 pe bhi call mila bahut kam logo ko, though]... For 80% up, u get 3 marks..Now the formula is, (10th * 12th * Grad) + Master's + Work-ex...So if u have 80% up throughout, u get 3*3*3= 27 [Hence shortlisted, IF u clear the cut-off]. But if u have 79.9999% even in any one of these [Like I have 79.8% in graduation], it makes ur AR- 3*3*2=18 😞 The only way to compensate that is by >2Yrs work-ex [Which gives u 3 more marks] + 80% up in Masters [3 more there] which takes ur AR to 24 [a good chance of getting a call]...

@Harimohan : Buddy, any class u join needs ur dedication. The only thing u can look for is the timings of different classes so that u can give tym to both job and classes. TIME and CL are equally gud, though TIME has vast material and CL has better mock CATs
