[Official] CAT 2013 Aspirants

What i can do to improve my Quant,i recently have joined TIME Delhi but still lacking in it.
Can we start our prep with some basic quant fundamentals here?

@shikhajain24 you can opt for arun sharma if you wish. :)
@shikhajain24
first if you are finding yourself behind in concepts you can take help from the site totalgadha.com
the quant concepts are explained very well and will help you to grasp them soon.

to practice quant problems you can religiously solve problems from TIME Quant booklet and Quantum CAT ,Arihant Publishers. These should be enough to clarify concepts as far as CAT quant is concerned.

Finally Mocks will help you take the further plunge.
All the best with your preps and A Happy Diwali to All!!

go for arunsharma ,it rocks . . . . . @vipulsharma078

@krriisshh you can begin by joining some coaching instt or self-studies. you can go through the course contents, different kinds of questions etc. To begin , you can solve some previous year CAT papers
@krriisshh 1) Start by reading around Pagalguy, there a lot of past threads that would give you some introduction to MBA and how to start.

2) Take a look at some of the questions, syllabus of CAT etc. to get a feel for the exam.

3) Then decide if you need coaching or not. If yes, then what type of coaching - online or residential classes. Then there is thread on PG that discusses which coaching centers are good around India. Shorlist a few good center in your city.

4) Go talk to past students of that center and check out the reviews to make a final decision.

5) Check out the material that would be provided to you by your coaching provider. Compare it with past papers of CAT, join the Quant thread on PG and see if your material is good enough for you to understand everything. In my opinion, if possible, no one material is totally efficient with each having its own positives and negatives.

6) For CAT 2013 Refer http://cat.mbaglue.com/cat-2013-exam-preparation/ and other sources around the Internet for useful material.

7) Join a test series, compare scores here on PG and see what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong. Analyse your weaknesses and start working on them.

8) Finish the material in 2-3 months and keep working on your weaknesses. Give mock exams that would help you see where you stand.

These are some basic steps. Just keep looking around and once you are in the loop, I am sure you will figure it out.

& 1 last question to everyone, how do you keep yourself motivated & focused for such a long time (almost 1 year till the next CAT) & not be affected by all the bad news that may follow in the intervening time period??? (like increase in weightage for non-engg, sudden change of exam pattern etc)
Take it as it comes aur baki sab ke liye there is XLRI
@vip3r Have u started ur prep?? 😃 In full swing??? :)
