Hi Dr. Richa,
I wish to pursue 1 yr PGPM from EABS in 2011. Would appreciate if you can throw some light based on my profile
I graduated from NIFT, Bangalore in Bachelor's of Fashion Technology last year and currently have just over an year of experience as Asst. Manager in Production Planning & Control in a medium scale shirt manufacturing company, Laguna Clothing Pvt. Ltd. located in Bangalore. It's a 50:50 JV between Tessitura Monti of Italy & Aquarelle Group of Mauritius.
I've attempted CAT 2010 and expect a percentile of 85+
I have a decent enough track of Acads as well.
Class X - 81%, Class XII - 83%, Graduation - 7.3 CGPA (just incase you need for evaluating)
Thanks in Advance. you're most welcome incase you need any further info.
Mr Tiwari,
You have a interesting profile. I think you have adequate experience (by the time you join the course it would be 2 years experience) and decent marks.
In past, we have students who have experience in retail companies like Reliance and Pantaloon (very similar to your background). Some of them changed the profile to IT and some of them continued to pursue their careers in similar industry. You are encouraged to apply for the program.
Please visit EABS . We are accepting the applications now, you can submit for round - 1 interview process.
best wishes,

i have 4+ yrs work ex in IT. I havent given the CAT n GMAT exams..do you have an internal entrance exam of your own for PGPM admissions ??
We would have an admission test called the EAT (EABS Admission Test) with a difficulty level similar to GMAT. which would be conducted in the month of Dec and Jan. You will have to get the application form filled by the end of this month to appear in the same.
I have appeared for the GMAT and have applied for EABS, by what date the GD/PI list be released
You will receive the call from the institute by 2nd Week of December
Sorry for the double entry
Dear admission team,
My profile is as follows:
Industry: Construction
Experience: 3+
Academics: Xth-82%, XIIth-75%, B.tech: 59%
CAT score: Appeared in 2010.
Request you to kindly evaluate my profile and provide some idea about the minimum CAT score that would be needed for a GD/PI call.
Your X, XIIth marks are good, however, you haven't good marks in BTech. I have a query from you, what kind of career opportunity you are looking after the MBA. If you wish to do transition in IT companies, your BTech marks may cause problem since most of the IT companies wants 60% and above.
However, if you wish to continue in other domains, than it should not be a problem. I would suggest you to call us sometimes early next week so that we can have a direct chat on phone to understand your academic & career aspirations.
Meanwhile, I encourage you to look at our blog www.eabsblog.blogspot.com and our website www.eabs.ac.in
best wishes,

I intend to specialize in finance or in HR. Also I wont be very keen for a job in IT sector but wudnt like to miss one in Business consultancy or banking sector. Some of my target companies would be Maersk Line, Ernst & Young, Aranca Research, Government of India (Special Project), Adani Group, Google.
A Quick analysis on my chances of getting into one of these companies would be highly appreciated.

We cannot comment on chances of you getting into specific company since it depends on lot of external factors like company requirements, your interests etc etc ....... However, I can give you bit of idea on the roles you can pursue.
If you are specilizing in Finance, roles like functional consultant or financial research or in banks/financial institutions may be a possibility. In HR you can go for assessment roles, core HR, support services or boutique consultancy services.
I would suggest you to concentrate on learning & gaining out of your MBA first. If you get too much worried about job now, you may ruin your chance of enhancing knowledge. Remember, it is the knowledge managers who succeed not the one without knoweledge.
I hope it would help.
Best wishes,
Prasad
AK,
With 9 years of manufacturing experience + an MBA from EABS you will be 'darling' of consulting companies
We are recieving lot of good applications from last few weeks and our admission team is working over-time to sort them out. Most likely, we will conduct our first round of interviews in middle of Jan.
We will keep posted on the outcome of the process by end of Dec or beg of Jan.
best wishes,
Prasad.

Dear Mr. Prasad,
The placement records such as international placement (other than gulf and under developed economies), career transitions and roles offered provide a generalised idea about the market acceptance of the course. Other quantitative figures such as avg and max salary or the placement percentage may fail to provide the complete picture. Keeping in view the newness of EABS I hope you wont mind in answering such queries.
