when you lose without ever getting a chance to fight for it, then there is nothing else except dissapointment 💔 💔. So long to my dreams of getting into fms .
Is it going to be only one waitlist or more can be expected?
This year mostly the rejected engineers from A,B,C,L are going to join fms, with high CAT percentile. This unfair selection process is going to result in the worst batch ever of fms with least diversity. Placements are definitely going to be affected by this.
I don't belong here. I didn't even have a call from FMS. But having read most of the posts below, I believe what happened was not at all fair. A single day's percentile can be one of the parameter to judge a candidate but cannot be the sole criterion for selection. Public speaking and putting your point forth in a group of people is a must for a future corporate leaders. Top B-schools are not looking for a candidate who did well on a single day (staring at a computer screen like a geek) but instead a leader who makes each day his own by fighting the adversaries therein. To all the fellow candidates who got rejected, don't take it harshly. You were saved from a batch of candidates who would not have the same potential as you. Many of them would not even appreciate the coveted seat as this came a little easy to them. To my rejected guys, one more thing, Don't let a university determine your potential. It is your skillset which defines you. Break all the barriers with whatever you have and show what you are really made of. Live life open minded and take risks freely to achieve what you want. Hope, that someday, FMS would definitely call you as their chief guest. GODSPEED!
Is there anybody else who's literally crying with tears rolling out and also, laughing at the same time,on ur luck as well as on the memes here? Idk I feel terrible,more terrible than I felt after getting rejected from A as I atleast got a chance to prove myself..Even a 99 percentiler with 90+ in X and XII doesn't deserve a seat just coz I'm a General category Male? 99 percentile and no converts from ALKI,FMS,SP. Maar hi daalo na.

For all you guys who think FMS did not conduct GD, you cannot be any more wrong. The number of hours spent in this group, discussing FMS's plan of action and it's incompetency with other IIMs for conducting online PI stand witness to their PERFECTLY planned execution! ** **Terms and conditions apply. Your GD skills on PG were for your own satisfaction. FMS doesn't care if you can speak or not.

Wow. I've been rendered flabbergasted. I hope sanity prevails and the (very very few) ABCL XL converts DO NOT choose FMS. Placements are gonna be much uglier than usual compared to the others, trust me. The lack of communication skills (in probably more than 3/4ths of the batch this time) will hurt, big time. It's a sincere request to people who get swayed on social media sites (by lying alums nonetheless), to not let any misguided sense of short-term ROI delude them. Brand equity matters and it will take a hit and you're (hopefully!) going to be alive for 30-40+ years and not just the 3-4 years of your loan repayments. Remember that :)

It is disheartening to see how everyone is assuming that a high CAT percentile automatically implies that the person has subpar communication or public speaking skills. Please understand there is no relation between a person's CAT score and the fluency with which they communicate.
Just to clarify, I don't support what FMS has done by scrapping the interviews, but hating on high percentilers with claims like 'This year the batch will have a lack of conversational skills and this will show in placement' is outright illogical.
Once again, please don't draw assumptions about a person's character on the basis of their CAT score.
lol, everyone assuming that higher the CAT score higher the person's chances of being a good MBA candidate is just sad and pathetic
Opinion 1 - wtf is up with academic diversity and gender diversity etc marks being given , its like a reservation for the undeserving , open exam tha dam hota to le ao marks , Sala GEM hone ki wajah se BLACKI reh gya, reservation for being from IIT ,NIT Opinion 2 - why the ..... is CAT given so much weightage , academic diversity ke bas Y marks , gender ke bas X ,why have reservations for IITians NITians ,my clg is as good BC sabko apni pari hai air kuch nahi , whatever works for them works for them 😒
