The following is a link to the 7897 Responses from Cracku that I exported. I tried doing some analysis of my own about Sectional Cutoffs, but I don't wish to get slaughtered by sharing my findings here. ð
Anyone that would like to do some analysis of their own can use the data from the Excel file in the link below. Cheers. ð
Candidates are hereby advised to avoid undue speculation regarding overall and sectional cut-offs to minimize disappointments. IIFT is working hard to do this job for you. Meanwhile, feel free to challenge the answer keys. Win 2 kilos of fresh beets for proving NTA wrong.
Will IIFT change answer key ?? Will Sahil come in power in that answer & will export import answer be changed to 0? Or they ll act like XAT & tell us to eff off ?Â
I can predict the cut off from the sample size of cracku, using gaussian approximations.
Edit:
So I have calculated the overall cut off, based on this data and I have considered that above 94 percentile students will be called. The cut off in that case  should be 108
Formula( In case your interested) : mean + 1.56 * std_deviation
1.56 is the z score for 94 percentile
Where you see peak in the graph, that score would be most probably sectional cut off
A Total of 2 ABSOLUTE ERRORS (Whose answer must be changed because they are mathematical) and 1 ERROR which accompanies a vague and verbally falwed question. Im giving the details and photographs of the questions below. If anyone wants to challenge the answers to them, you may use the images (and convert them to PDFs). Remember that you can challenge the key only once and therefore must challenge multiple answers together.
(1) Q ID: 82210192 (Sahil and Gaurav)
Answer given by IIFT is 822101328 (Gaurav) but the actual answer is 822101326 (Sahil)
(2) Q ID: 82210174 (Average Res_Index highest in which year)
Answer given by IIFT is 822101270 (2013) but the actual answer is 822101272 (2017)
(3) Q ID: 82210176 (No Imports in any year)
Answer given by IIFT is 822101276 (3) but due to verbal flaw option 822101273 (0) also stands.
How does attempts from faculty make a difference in the iift exam? In cat , xat , snap there is an option of not applying for the institute. But as far I remember IIFT prompts us to compulsorily give a choice for a campus. Anyone with past experience can shed any light on this?
I can't edit in my application form in graduate field...I have written others-BTECH.It is showing you have done changes successfully...what to do now....
Suppose someone has 90% + in both 10th and 12th and is a non-engineer. He will have an application rating of 25/27. Â
Suppose his overall score is 95
(95/300)*73 = 23.12
Composite score : 23.12+25 = 48.12
Now an engineer who has 85+ % marks in 10th and 12th will have AR of 16/27
Suppose his IIFT score is 132Â
(132/300)*73 = 32.12
Composite score : 32.12+16 = 48.12
Both these students have the same chances of getting a call from IIFT. However this may change if overall marks are divided by highest score instead of 300.Â
