As per the institute's admission criteria, gender diversity marks were added to merit score before releasing the offers. 2. guys I do understand wht happened today is still unclear and there are so many question in front of us which are unanswered but still i feel that the best way to raise your query is in front of the admission office and not to the adcom because they too dont have that much info. It is my personal opinion rest is upto you. Just one little help, kindly try not to use my waitlist number as an example on your posts. Thank you gen 102
@akriti_agarwal.I would advise you to please go though the point #16 and 17 of the admission process where it is clearly mentioned that the merit list will be generated after considering all the parameters. So stop this bullshit and please mention where the hell it is written that gender marks will be added after the merit list.If this was the case then why chronologically people were given final conversion mails on the list which was published on 4th of june.On that particulr day there was nothing like that.So how come this can de done today.Please share this with AO and if they have some guts please share the waitlist movement after the 4th june list.If such is the case then what is the point in giving the waitlist numbers.Absolute bizzare logic given by the team.
Adcoms, you convey whatever info you get from the AO, I get that. Its a humble request to the Adcoms to be supportive and helpful here as you always have been by conveying this to the AO. I believe you have the authority/permission to do this.
1. The link provided by one of the Adcoms (https://iimamritsar.ac.in/p/admission) clearly mentions in point 16 and 17 that the list is generated after all the marks are given to a candidate for all the parameters (gender diversity, academics, etc), so the statement "we have added the marks after the Waitlist" seems alien.
2. Even if we go by this "alien" logic, it doesn't explain the movements/offers made in the previous lists because offers were made serial number wise. So why has the process changed this time ?
3. Also all this means that the WL provided to us is Null and Void because the movements are not accordingly.
4. Why the Waitlist movemets can't be made public, so as to avoid all this confusion and chaos ?
5. Adcoms I request you to ask the AO to send e-mails whenever such statements are made which are directly related to the Waitlist movements.
There is no point taking admission in such a college and to the adcom members who were giving 'gyaan' on telegram group.Now we know it too how admissions happen in amritsar. Only of i had known this earlier i would have never invested my 1000 on this college. As if other quotas were not enough that now gender diversity is followed in waitlist movement. There will be a time in this country when general males will commit suicide or leave the country and these quota people will take india to indefinite era of poverty and craziness
Guys watch this space tomorrow for online petition to Hon.Cheif Justice of Punjab High Court, prepared by my attorney on the injustice done to the Top brains of Indian Acadamics by IIM Amritsar. Hon. High Court will definetly stay the admission Procedings if we all send by email as there is deficiency in service on the Part of IIM Amritsar
I don't know if I must be glad or disgruntled if I end up not getting into this institute. I remember the ad coms on TG acting so entitled and sensitive for some reason and getting triggered unnecessarily. Whenever the aspirants ask some genuine qualms, the ad coms never seemed to cut some slack and incessantly preached aspirants to maintain 'professionalism' and 'decorum' of the group as if the aspirants were some uncouth barbarians who didn't work their ass off for getting into a good institute and were raising qualms for fun of it or to taint their institute's image. They wanted candidates to be unquestioningly calm even when they knew that their obscure system was a sure shot recipe for engendering apprehension and uncertainty. Whenever that one 'IIM amritsar 2021-23' admin guy/girl speak, it would feel like he/she has some fetish to wield power like a good ol' nazi. He wanted us to appreciate IIM amritsar for opportunity it was giving to the candidates and be grateful for it. Even Nehru would have been way more modest when he established IIMs. Why am I saying this now?. When I scroll down this group, I could see many spam posts while aspirants are again raising their genuine grievances. 'Professionalism' and 'Maintaining decorum' much, whoever's doing this?. To those spammers: If you badly want IIM Amritsar to align with the likes of Amity and Lovely professional universities of the world by doing such desperate things that those colleges would do, I would say chill out. The shitty, random, ambiguous, non standard, and mismanaged selection process would per se do that job for you. Sooner or later.
After seeing post and comments , I am afraid that adcom may dissolve this page also 😂. They are intolerant towards facing truth and reality. In this democratic world little we know that totalitarianism exists #scam

Funniest part of the story line Adcom saying that WL was provided excluding gender diversity weight. Then my question A. The source provided by you for the above statement doesn't justify your statement. I hope everyone has the same comprehending power as much as you have. B. For a while Let's say I accept the rule provided by you then why these rule didn't follow before the last WL movement. Is it newly furnished by you ? If this was the case then it should be informed to candidate before hand only , they could have save 1000 . C. Let's suppose your statement is true, how you have given the weightage to gender diversity that the person in 100s couldn't able to convert and the person in 290s able to convert ? I have no objection to gender diversity but logic seems to fail everytime I see the post posted by you

i know this wrong to say but feels like dying....
after my graduation i have gap year of 2 years now, got 96 percentile with calls from 13 iims and haven't converted any of these yet. Had hope from IIM Amritsar that i'll convert this one bcoz the WL was lower as compared to other calls. But after looking such thing that others with higher WL getting convert is like breaking my hopes from deep inside, it feels shattered and broke. Feels like mentally tortured and depressing. Unable to pick mysef coz looking back at the time from last 2 years coming to this level really hurts. Sitting at home is not easy at all and during this time of covid jobs are also less out there. Dont know how to overcome this ryt now.

Has IIM Amritsar released 2nd and 3nd waiting list ? I haven't seen any waiting after 1st WL i.e which was released on 27th of MAY 2021. After that I did not receive any mail from IIM Amritsar. Yesterday, I saw message from telegram group that they are publishing 4th list. What is happening ?
I don't know why everyone is crying like this. Adcom has clarified that the WL number were exclusive of gender diversity weightage. Simple as that! Is it too hard to comprehend? (I'm not related to IIMAm in any way)

Advise for my fellow candidates
Don't run after these IIM Tags . These Baby IIMs and a couple of New IIM s have nothing in them . BLACKIS , T , Ranchi , Raipur and Udaipur . That's it . That's where the buck stops. Remove the IIM tag and they are worse than KJ Som and We-School.
Pay a few bucks extra but choose wisely.
This year we don't know whether the transparency and justice will be provided to us or not but if anybody who will be writing CAT next year please do post this conversation next year and let innocent aspirants get warned against the scam happened this year. Let's save them from wasting 1000 buck. The institute doesn't deserve single penny of respect until or unless clarification of all the doubts have been addressed.
