This is one of the worst placement season in the history of IMT Nagpur...not even 50% have been placed till now. 2 yrs of PGDM is over for 2011-13 batch and just a few days before convocation are left...average package is also low for those who have been placed till now...currently companies offering as low as 3 lakh are also coming to our campus

This year placements are tough in all bschools even in tier 1 Schools suffer. A senior of mine gets salary less than his last drawn salary (XLRI J student).. Does learning take place or not? that could be only thing we can look for. ROI is out of the question in the current education system.. most top companies have policy issues of taking only mbas for certain designations (not the case with generation b4 us). Having decided to do mba why not from some good college in full time is the reason why i do mba (same is the case with most of my frenz as well).

City area can be termed as subjective so consider it as any MALL or MULTIPLEX..

I'm one of those lucky people who got placed. I know the placement season in all colleges is sad this year. Wanted you guys to know the real situation in IMTN so that you won't be dissapointed once you are here.
I see people ask about bus facility, hostel accommodation, etc. I ask them, does it really matter? Keep your eyes on the ball people. What matters most? Learning and Placements...please focus your discussions on these two lines. Everything else is secondary! Please choose college based on these two factors.
What I like about IMTN?
1. Learning both in(specific subjects) and outside(tons of it) classroom is tremendous.
2. You'll have so much fun...you'll get bored of having fun 😃 ;)
3. Placements: Hopefully better for coming batches...sometimes you may get chance to get through something really good. E.g. 2 guys got placed in Trident with a package of 15 lakhs(marketing) this yr.
4. You'll make friends for a lifetym.
5. At the end of two years you'll be totally a new person(better of course!).

I agree to ur every point.
Bt suppose i am applying to some collg and they state that in their Mess, they will be providing only 1 kind of vegetabl in breakfast, lunch and dinner. And if i argue them about it they may give same arguement, "does it really matter?"
Some may have food their 1st prefrence and some may have city-social life thats y i asked.
I doubt if there is any life out of classroom or campus, as its on highway..!!
@alumni.imtn the placement is not upto the mark anywhere dis year..even IIMs asked for placement assistance..u said u are from 2012 pass out batch..can u kindly state the placement scenario in 2012..tht'll help us a lot to choose the right b-school
