@babanRC : I personally know a 93 %iler who converted imt-g finance last year....so don't talk about conversion...it totally depends on an individual's prowess apart from scores. & FYI i was there for imt-g gd/pi this year & out of 15 there were 4 people with
everyone knows IMT N is not IMT G..infact no b school in this range is quite comparable to top 30 b-schools..den y on earth we should be concerned about IMT-G? yes its a great b school..IIMs are even better..so??? make some sense..and may i know ur percentile?
@babanRC : don't get so worked up buddy...all i'm sayin is that you shouldn't give incorrect info to people...that's it. & i'm not comparing colleges at all. In fact i might take admission at imt-n if i convert (& of course if i dont get a better college). Now i have no idea why you are askin my scores but just so you know, i have 96.16 in XAT..!
@gatsby1922 not about incorrect info..every b school gives profile based calls...and a friendly suggestion for u...with 96.16 in XAT u've got a chance for XIM B...IMT N is rather a back up for u..all m saying der r many people here who are considering IMT N simply because dey dnt have 90+ percentile..IMT-G is not a alternative to IMT-N..huge gulf in class..but sadly its not imt.g post
@babanRC : I understand this is an imt-n thread but again by sayin something incorrect you tempted me to reply. Imt-g (& imt-n for that matter) doesn't give profile based calls. Everybody above a certain cut-off %ile is called & then people are shortlisted based on their profile & gd/pi performance. For imt-g it was 90. So better stop tying yourself in knots & lets stop this trivial discussion since its an imt-n thread. All the best to you..!!

Can we put an end to this discussion? There are many who would not qualify for -G and this kind of posts will end up spooking them. Agreed, - G & -N have major diff and that i why the cut offs are diff. 😁 So, lets wait for results and see who ends up where.

@bhaduriarchit : None taken...& u are right man. We shouldn't get into such trivial arguments...but just to put the record straight, my point was never the difference b/w G & N. I very well understand that & respect that. I was just clarifying some confusion regarding the cut-offs and the whole thing got inflated. After all fellow aspirants here should get correct info & that is precisely what my intent was. Anyways i'm moving on...:)
Okay after all this can anyone let me know when can one expect the final list to be out ? I am done with gdpi just awaiting results. And also wanted to clarify a doubt - If in case IMT N selects me and calls for admissions, and I take admission there, and suddenly in the month of may somaiya college selects me in its final list and calls me for admission then will IMT N allow it ? I mean i want to just know what is the procedure in such a case where one is eligible for admission to two colleges at a different time frame..

@babanRC @gatsby1922 as one of u mentioned correctly for imt-g its 90 percntile... for imt-n may be below 60 percntile as many of them got a call below 60 too(p.s -general without experience )... cool down my frnds..... dnt quarrel with each other over this issue..........

@fazer55 : thank you for your earnest concerns but nobody was 'quarreling' here... So please don't use such silly words. It was just a discussion which turned into a mild argument. Also stop denigrating the college by mentioning such low cut-offs (although i am not sure but i do not think the cut off is that low). What you are doing is a very cheap tactic to reduce competition & it never works...! So, kindly help each other out here instead of saying such derogatory things about the college without facts to back 'em up.
