As per my knowledge the university is providing special classes for the students to prepare for the placements not only for MBA but for every programme provided by the university. LPUNEST is not mandatory for every programme such as BBA, BA, BCA, etc. However, you can appear for the exam for a scholarship. But in the case of BTech, BPharma, BBA(Hons.) and MBA , etc., LPUNEST is mandatory.

LPUNEST exam is not too difficult if you’re good at academics as the questions will come from the last class you have attended.

It is not compulsory to live in hostel in LPU , you can stay outside. But, it would be better, if you prefer hostel for security and safety. It is not compulsory to live in hostel in LPU, you can stay outside.
My sincere suggestion is to opt for University Residential Facilities only instead of PG/Accommodation outside due to varied reasons as stated below:
Cost-Effective: Lovely Professional University Charges very reasonable fee and the residential services and the same come with lot many standard deliverables like free electricity units per person/per session (based upon the kind of room opted), Iron Bed, Study Table, Plastic Chair, Almirah, Water Geyser, 1 AC/Air Cooler, Attached Washrooms etc.

Security and allied: Students also get access to Mess Facility, Common room with Television, Telephone, 24 Hrs. Water Supply, Water Coolers with RO, Power Backup, Security, Wi-Fi, ATMs, Food Kiosks, Photostat Machine, Cafeteria, Study Rooms, Guest Rooms, Hospital etc.

For the purpose of Admission in MBA, in LPU, there is a specific criteria to get enrolled through the entrance exam i.s. LPUNEST. The student has to appear in the National level entrance test like CAT, MAT etc or has to appear in LPUNEST exam which is university level entrance exam .
It is not tough to get admission to the MBA programme at LPU if you fulfil the eligibility criteria for the same. there is an Eligibility Criteria; Pass with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree, subject to qualifying CAT or MAT or XAT or NMAT or CMAT^ and Interview. You need to apply for the entrance exam conducted by LPU i.e., LPUNEST to get admission there (LPUNEST is a National Level Scholarship Eligibility Test Conducted by LPU itself)

If student has qualified the national level test with eligible marks i.e., 80% then LPUNEST written exam is not required but has to appear for the LPUNEST interview.

LPU provides PEP classes from the very first year, in which you will have classes related to your core, aptitude, communication skills, group discussion. In short, whatever is required for any company to get placed, all the classes will be provided to you.
