@bharatchhabra...Buddy only thing you should do right now is to calm down...whatever prepration you could have done...you must have completed it by now...you cant prepare any further just a day before exam!:)
and if you feel concerned about ur Quant section...you can just revise tthe basics and all the formulas...as most of the quant questions in MAT exam are direct formula based!!:)
And about GK section..you must be knowing that GK marks are not counted...but its not advisable to leave the section blank.....you just need to do 8-10 questions which will hardly take 5 mins..and trust me you'll be able to attempt that much no. of questions very easily as those will completely sitters!!:)
and One General Tip while attempting MAT is to not get stuck to any particular question even if it is damn easy or from your favourite topic...if you are not able to solve/understand it in 2 mins...just Move On...you will find good amount of doable questions!!:)
so Just relax for now....and ATB for tomo:cheerio:
Hello Sir. Today I gave my online MAT exam. I have attempted 70 questions(6 GK) with round about 90% accuracy.how much score should I expect with this sort of analysis ?
@bharatchandra... Dude...its not possible to predict anything,,,,as the diffculity varies in every MAT exam...2 yrs back when i gave the exam with attempts in 70s(excluding GK) with 90% accuracy....i got around 94 %ile...but in some other MAT exam....a friend of mine with similar no. of attempts and accuracy got his percentile in 80s....so your score will depend on the difficulity level of paper...but ya generally 64 attempts(consedering GK marks are not counted) is a bit on lower side...but looking at the brighter side...even if you wont be able to score much,,,this should be a Good experience...so that you can work on your mistakes and perform better in Dec MAT which is more important as all Good MAT allied colleges participate in it unlike Sept MAT 😃
I got 73%ile / a composite score of 607.5 in feb MAT,2011.( No of questions attempted, excluding G.K- 67. Accuracy-around 80%) I completed my graduation this year (Will be appearing for DEC,2012 MAT) My profile is - 10th- 81% 12th- 76%(Science) Graduation-BSc(economics,statistics,maths)-59% from Calcutta University No work ex as such Please suggest me what should be my minimum attempt of questions in MAT 2012 so as to get a call from a good institution. And please suggest me good colleges that suit my profile and also what score do I need to get to get a call from these colleges?
@M_for_MBA ...as i have already mentioned in my previous post....there is no such thing as "ideal no of attempts"...on one day with 80 attempts you can get 90+%ile and on other day(i mean some other MAT exam) with same no of attempts and accuracy you might end up around precentile in 80s...so its all depends on the difficulty level of paper...so just attempt as much as possible.....but ya to be on the safer side make sure your no of attempts are balanced through out the sections...but yes try to reach figure of 100 in terms of attempts with 90+% accuracy...which easily reacheable if you have got your basics right consedering MAT exam's questions have basic level of diifficulity and are generally direct formula based(in quant) !!:)
and about your profile....well its decent enough...you should definately try for other MBA entrances like SNAP,TISS,NMAT etc. also as the diffculity level isnt that much high as com compared to MAT(except CAT,XAT)...and also you still have time left...!!:)
about Colleges,,,,,as per now just focus on your prep....you will still be left with time after ur exams...so can discuss this part later:)
@onlyrohit yes you qualify for most of the top mat colleges. but i would suggest that you appear in december mat also because then you will have more options
