What is Summer Internship at GIMS
Summer Internship act as a bridge between students and corporate,It provide students with hands-on learning experience as they gain a glimpse into the real world, giving them a front-row seat to a potential career choice. They go into the internship thinking they want to work at a specific company or in a specific industry and come out of the internship either having confirmed those thoughts or having decided to pursue something completely different. The idea is that they get to know now if they like a job rather than when they graduate. So many people move into jobs they dislike after graduation because they didn’t know any better.
Not only do students who participate in summer internships get hands-on learning experience; they’re also building their resumes. GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) The Communication & Development Club (CCD) organised a photography competition for the PGDM students named as BUZZATHON-Click the Manager’s Style.
Buzzathon buzzed around the GIMS campus creating a buzz among the GIMS’ Millennials in the month of december with the cool breeze of joy and managing skills.
The CCDians at GIMS, Greater Noida launched Buzzathon- Click with a Manager’s style, on December 10,2021 with full fervour. The event was inaugurated by Director-GIMS, Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Head-PGP, Prof. Mayank Kumar Pandey, Are-chair CnD, Dr. Shalini Sharma (Faculty Coordinator- CCD) along with all the faculty members amidst the presence of PGDM I and II year brigade of GIMS, Greater Noida.
Buzzathon is a month long event, engaging the GIMSians to click and decipher the pictures as a managers and prove their creative prowess. GNIOT Institute of Management of Studies (GIMS) ABHYUDAY-The HR Club organized Outbound Training Session for PGDM Ist year students on 27th of November’21.
"The 5’s Management Games are Strategy, Synergy, Strength, Skills and Spirit"
Major objectives of the session were to help the students:
-to enhance the eye for details
-to improve analyzing skills- to enable quick decision making
-to make students cooperative and team players and to give them long lasting impressions of the subjects, which they have learnt inside classrooms.
Active participation and enthusiasm was exhibited by all the students during the games like Rope Twister, Valley of Acid, Scavanger hunt, Tap n Tap, etc.
The day ended with the Faculties and Outreach Team participating together in Valley of Acid and Tug of War. The day was marked with lots of LEARNINGS AND LAUGHTER!!

He’ll be enriching the young minds on “Strategic Approach to Create a New Brand”. As he explains New Brand Strategy that means developing a new product line and a brand that would be associated with it.

GNIOT Institute of Management Studies equipped with hostel facility and Boys and Girls separately with accommodation to boys and girls in 9 hostels with the capacity of 2232 students and these are close to the academic block. a) On the basis of Score in Entrance Exam
- MAT - Composite score 500 to 599 Rs.20,000/- on tuition fee Composite score above 600 Rs.25,000/- on tuition fee
- CAT - 75 Percentile or above Rs.50,000/- on tuition fee 60-74 Percentile Rs.35,000/- on tuition fee
- XAT - 75 Percentile or above Rs.50,000/- on tuition fee 60-74 Percentile Rs.30,000/- on tuition fee
- CMAT- 70 Percentile or above Rs.30,000/-on tuition fee 60-69 Percentile Rs.25,000/ on tuition fee

i) Sports Quota National Achievement in Any field- Rs. 20,000/- on tuition fee.
ii) Armed Forces/Paramilitary Forces/Police Personnel family background Rs.20,000/- on tuition fee.
iii) GIMS Shakti Scholarship for female students only with consistent academic performance of 55% throughout Xth, XIIth, and Graduation, she will be eligible for a scholarship of Rs.25,000 on tuition fee.
D) COVID Scholarship Candidates who lost their parent/s due to Covid-19, will be eligible for a scholarship of Rs.20,000/ on tuition fees. However, it may be noted that the student can only avail of one of the above-mentioned scholarships, provided fulfilling the criteria specified. All scholarships shall be adjusted with the 2nd year fee (last installment) only. Decision of the admission committee shall be binding & final regarding scholarship eligibility

Specific additional Guidelines for Summer Internship at GIMS-CRC
a) All students are eligible unless delisted and removed from placement activities on the account of poor academic performance and on ground of misconduct or indiscipline.
b) Students may arrange their summer Internship on their own, but they must inform the CRC about this well in time. In such cases, the CRC will/may issue letters to such organization authenticating the summer internship. Without such authentication by CRC, any such training will not be considered towards the programme requirements.
c) The concerned students arranging summer internship on his/her own must provide complete details of the organization, such as Name of the company Executive making offer, Title/Designation, Company’s Name, Postal Address, Email, Phone Number, Company Website, Project Them, Start and End Date, etc.
d) Students need to submit the visiting cards of their Summer Internship Project Guide and the HR personnel for the placement data base.
e) Each Student will assign a faculty mentor/industry and he /she must take appropriate input/guidance from the faculty mentor before proceeding with the Summer Internship.
f) Student must build a good rapport with their Industry Mentor and other professionals in the organizations Where they peruse their simmer internship.
g) The students must submit their summer internship project report (SIPR) by the due date to the porogramme office/CRC.
h) Each students must also submit the completion certificate signed by the industry Mentor, in a sealed envelope to the CRC.

Faculty Profile
Prof. Mayank Kr. Pandey has worked for HDFC Standard Life Insurance Co. Ltd. before joining the academics in 2009. Since then for the last 12 years he has been serving for management institutes of repute.
He has submitted his Ph.D. Thesis & holds master degree in management. His core areas of teaching are Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior and Customer Loyalty, Strategic Management, Customer Relationship Management, Digital Marketing, Rural Development and Managerial Economics.
He loves guiding and motivating the students to carry out the Live Research Project on various general management and marketing related issues. He has presented research papers in national and international seminars and conferences and also published papers in various national and international journals of academic importance. He has also participated in Faculty Development Programmes at IITRoorkee, IIT Bombay. He has received IIM Banglore-Wipro Faculty Development Progremme Fellowship-2019 to pursue 14 weeks programme on Strategy and the Sustainable Enterprise (SSE) at IIM Banglore.
He is associated with ACTERM (an education initiative of India Expo Mart Limited, Greater Noida) as member Academic Council and delivers lectures on marketing management. He is also associated with UNEAKO (a start-up) funded by AIC-BIMTECH & NITI Aayog as mentor and helping them in business development.
Apart from teaching and research, he has been associated with NGO’s and is actively participating for the upliftment of underprivileged in GautamBudh Nagar district.

Dr. Ruchi Rayat is the Dean (Outreach & Student Welfare) and Professor of Human Resource Management. She is Accredited Management Expert and comes with a rich experience of more than 16 years as an academician and administrator. Her academic assets include a Doctoral Degree in Human Resource Management, Masters in Management and Graduate Diploma in Commerce. She has several publications in national and international journals of high repute including Scopus indexed journals and participated in Faculty Development Programmes at reputed places like Indian Institute of Management (L), SIMCA, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education, and BIMTECH, among others.
