Find the area of the largest semicircle in a square of side 'a'

Shyama and Vyom walk up an escalator (moving stairway). The escalator moves at a constant speed. Shyama takes three steps for every two of Vyom €™s steps. Shyama gets to the top of the escalator after having taken 25 steps, while Vyom (because his slower pace lets the escalator do a little more of the work) takes only 20 steps to reach the top. If the escalator were turned off, how many steps would they have to take to walk up?a) 40b) 50c) 60d) 80e) None of these
My take 50
Not giving method as already posted above..

p.s: this thread was inactive for past 2 hours 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 now i believe that anything is possible in this world kaha gaye sab log???

Please refer the link and just substitute 'a' instead of 1 as the side of the square

r+r/root2=a
=>r=aroot2/(1+root2)

area of semicircle = pi*r^2/2=pi*(aroot2/(1+root2))^2/2 = a^2*pi/(3+2root2)

@krum can u please solve 2nd ques without considering the options.

since all the terms had N, all multiples of 7 will satisfy.
That question is not making much sense, if u have other questions in the same tune than do post
In ABC, draw AD, where D is the midpoint of BC. If ACB = 30째 and ADB = 45째, find ABC.
Pavan builds an overhead tank in his house, which
has three taps attached to it. While the first tap
can fill the tank in 12 hours, the second one takes
one and a half times more than the first one to fill it
completely. A third tap is attached to the tank which
empties it in 36 hours. Now, one day, in order to fill
the tank, Pavan opens the first tap and after two
hours opens the second tap as well. However; at
the end of the sixth hour, he realizes that the third
tap has been kept open right from the beginning
and promptly closes it. What will be the total time
required to fill the tank

@rkshtsurana m bit confused..isn't that one and half times the time..more should be 1+1.5=2.5 times.. :(

@rkshtsurana but your OA is right. accd to official key.. and none of the options matches with the 2.5 times' ans
A trapezoid is divided into four triangles by its diagonals. Let the triangles adjacent to the parallel sides have areas x and y( i.e. opposite traingles). Find the area of the trapezoid in terms of x and y
