After collecting the dividend at the end of a year, he sells 25% of his shares since their market price had appreciated by 331/3%. After another year, he collects his dividend (again 50%) and sells his remaining shares, the price of which again appreciated by 25%. mene mually calcuate kiya tha,,97 and 93 me tha mjhe ..dats y asked for trick
Explanation: (CL Unproc Mock question)
t3 = 150 – t2
t4 = 2t2 – 150
t5 = 300 – 3t2
t6 = 5t2 – 450
t7 = 750 – 8t2
t8 = 13t2 – 1200
t9 = 1950 – 21t2
t10 = 34t2 – 3150

Now let's try to make as many of them positive as
possible:
150 – t2 ≥ 0 or 150 ≥ t2
2t2 – 150 ≥ 0 or t2 ≥ 75
300 – 3t2 ≥ 0 or 100 ≥ t2
5t2 – 450 ≥ 0 or t2 ≥ 90
750 – 8t2 ≥ 0 or 93.75 ≥ t2
13t2 – 1200 ≥ 0 or t2 ≥ 92.30
So t2 must be greater than 92 and less than 94, for the
first 8 terms to be positive.
So when t2 = 93, the sequence would have exactly
8 terms.
For every other value of t2 the number of terms would
be less than 8.
So the answer is 93.

No trick for this

option substitution is better than this..
If a car starts from A towards B with some velocity due to some problem in the engine after travelling 30km. If the car goes with 4/5 th of its actual velocity the car reaches B 45min later to the actual time. If the car engine fails after travelling 45km, the car reaches the destination B 36min late to the actual time , what is the initial velocity of car and what is the distance between A and B in km
Options
1) 30 , 120
2) 25 , 130
3) 20 , 120
4) none of this
