options atleast ?
@krum bhai usne minimum marks thodi na bola hai n bhai ne option bhi ni diye is tarike se toh hum kitne hi ache leke 43se bada aur 49 se chota nikal sakte hain sahi hai ya nai?

IFMR Forms Out !!! http://www.b-school-mba.com/ifmr-2013/

@krum Brilliant!!! Thank you.
Why do we assume x + y to be 5?

There are 4 prime numbers written in ascending order. The product of first 3 is 7429 and product of last 3 is 12673.Find first no.

19,13,17,none

I'm 100% sure of the question. My variable was getting eliminated too. Couldn't find the answer. They gave really weird questions. There was another one like this:The average marks of those who passed in an exam is 60 and those who failed is 25. If the average of all the students is above 43 but not greater than 49, then find the total marks of the class.
60x+25y >43(x+y) and less than 49(x+y)
now lhs is a multiple of 5 or 10
so it has to even the rhs has to be multiple of 5 or 10
now say x+y = 5
so 215 44*5 = 220 and 49*5 = 245
so the value has to fall between 220 and 245

case 1 : x = 4 y = 1
240+25 = 265 so out
case 2 : x = 3 y = 2
180+50 = 230 satisfies
case 3 : x = 2 y = 3
120+75 = 195 so rest of the cases dont satisfy here..

So 230 is the answer..

Now the question is can x+y be 10 15 etc.. which can be decided based on the options 😃

17 ?
@chandrakant.k bhai if i take 11 who pass and 10who fail
i get
660+250=910
now 910/21=43.3333which is now greater than 43 and smaller than 49 now????
enjoy cracking series...

23 36 47 54 59 ?
(A) 61 (B) 62 (C) 63 (D) 65 (E) None of these
@chandrakant.k
Makes perfect sense. Thank you so much!

hmmm possible case.. anyways based on the options we can take a call here.. but i assumed that average has to be an integer which is not necessarily.. @krum : bhai anything missing here??

we have a possible solution for an ambiguous question, y bother ourselves with this ?
anwz i'm too lazy to argue, i'm the kind who gives up first and "no thank you very much" is my favorite line , now i'm tired
