As part of the students exchange program 27 select students will be visiting seven different international foreign universities for a whole term of study. During the program SDMIMD students will be studying with many international students and get taught by several faculty from different nationalities. The experience of having different pedagogy is invaluable for their growth. Besides the facility to do cases and projects with students of other nationalities and background affords cross-cultural understanding. Further, the evaluation technique used in these schools enables students to be on their toes and prove their mettle.
Entry Merit Scholarship (Code: EMS) * – Rs. 75,000 for finally selected applicants with minimum 70% each in – 10th Standard; 12th Standard / PUC 2; and Degree.
Empowering Woman (Code: EW) * – Rs. 50,000 scholarship for finally selected woman applicants with minimum 60% aggregate each in – 10th Standard; 12th Standard / PUC 2; and Degree.
Student Exchange Subsidy (Code: SES): Students selected for student exchange programs abroad during the SDMIMD PGDM program are entitled to a subsidy ranging from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,25,000 by SDMIMD based on the location of the host institute/university.
Student Merit Scholarship (Code: SMS) – 3 Students will be awarded Merit-cum-means Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Performance in each Term during the PGDM Program.

Friday, April 2, 2021 - The 26th Annual Convocation of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development was held today at the Institute Campus situated at the foothills of Chamundi Hill Road, Siddharthanagar, Mysuru.
Given the COVID-related restrictions, the audience was restricted only to the students passing out, their parents, members of the Governing Board, faculty, and staff of SDMIMD and representatives of the Press.
On the occasion the Institute awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) (equivalent to MBA) to 171 eligible students of the batch 2019-21 and 4 from the2018-20 batch the graduating students received their Diploma from Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala and Chairman, SDMIMD. The Chief Guest Shri. T. R. Parasuraman, President and Whole time Director, Toyota Industries Engine India Pvt. Ltd., presented Gold Medals to the high-performing Students for excellent overall performance and outstanding performance in various specializations.
In his convocation address, Shri. T. R. Parasuraman said that, young India has greater opportunities in the manufacturing industry and the avenues are ample to explore with strong determination to achieve success.
As an advice to the graduating students the keynote speaker said, ‘to be a leader we must follow 5 key works - foot work (on floor experience), head work (to understand the problem with open mindset), teamwork, hard work and network’.

International E-Conference on “Adapting to the new business normal - The way ahead”
SDMIMD organized the first International e-conference on “Adapting to the new business normal- The way ahead”, on 3-4 December 2020, keeping the COVID-19 situation in mind.
Dr. N. R. Parasuraman, Director, SDMIMD, spoke on the challenges and opportunities on doing business in the pandemic era.
Eminent international academician, and researcher, Dr. Moez Bennouri, the Director of the MSc Programs, Montpellier Business School, France, spoke on the issue of female leadership in organizations. In the context of Corporate Governance in the current business scenario, he emphasized on the significance of the involvement of female leaders at the top management level.
The keynote was followed by paper presentation session. More than 100 participants and paper presenters have taken part in the conference. Papers have been presented in different tracks grouped under Marketing, Finance, HRM, Economics, Operations, Analytics, and IT.
During the valedictory session, Mr. Anujeet Varadkar, CEO, Svatantra Microfinance, delivered the address and spoke on the importance of microfinance in the Indian economy. He highlighted the issues, which are typically faced by microfinance companies.

The 9th International Finance Conference was conducted at SDMIMD on October 28th and 29th, 2021 in virtual model. Sri.F.R.Singhvi, Joint Managing Director, Sansera Engineering Ltd Bengaluru, addressed the conference and gave the keynote presentation. He emphasized the significance of liquid assets for business growth and survival and also talked about how AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) are transforming the landscape of the finance function and the business in general.
Block chain and cryptocurrencies were discussed by Mr. Jacob Thomas, Delivery Manager, TCS Ltd, Germany. Ms Rajni Thakur, Chief Economist, RBL Bank Ltd, Mumbai, gave the valedictory address. She gave an update on the present situation of the financial markets and highlighted how the global pandemic has affected global economies and financial markets in general. She was emphatic that the economy’s fundamentals have begun to improve, as seen by the performance of India’s financial markets.
First aid and CPR Training for Young Managers
On October 26th, 2021, SDMIMD hosted a First Aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) session for students and staff members. Dr Aravind R M, Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon from Cauvery Heart and Multispeciality Hospital in Mysore, led the training program’s inaugural session.
Dr. Aravindam went over the dos and don’ts of first aid, emphasizing the necessity of the skill in saving lives. Dr Vaidyanathan R, Consultant Intensivist and Director, Critical Care and Emergency Services, Cauvery Heart and Multispecialty Hospital, Mysore, led the CPR session, which was followed by a practical demonstration of First Aid and CPR by a team of Cauvery Heart and Multispecialty Hospital Instructors and EC Members of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Mysore City Branch.
A discussion on personal wealth management by Alumnus
Mr. Feroze Azeez, PGDM Alumnus 2003-05 Batch; and Deputy CEO, Anand Rathi Private Wealth Management, Mumbai, spoke at SDMIMD and Prerana – SDMIMD Alumni Association on September 25, 2021. Mr. Feroze shared his knowledge of personal wealth management and explained the various products available on the market today. With active participation from alumni members and students on campus, the online session was interactive and exciting.
He shared his personal experience about how exciting is to work in a firm like Anand Rathi . He also discussed about how he learnt about various things like how he gained knowledge of building a portfolio keeping various financial instruments and risks in sight and developed an understanding of concept of trust building. He also gained awareness of stock trading and understood the concept of future and options market. He also used to assist his senior manager to client meeting, which helped him in developing good communication skills. He also mentioned in his speech that how SDMIMD gave him the experienced and gave him the values that help him in his career. At last student asked various questions to Mr feroze and received a brilliant answers from him.

Prof. N.R.Bhanumurthy, Economist and Vice Chancellor of the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics University in Bengaluru, Dr. Frank Longo, Associate Dean for Global Programs at EAE Business School, and others spoke at the two-day virtual conference on November 25 and 26 on the theme “Economic Growth and Sustainable Development: Emerging Trends,” organized by SDMIMD, Mysuru. The ceremony was conducted by Dr.B.Venkatraja, an Associate Professor of Economics at SDMIMD. Dr.N.R.Parasuraman, Director and Professor of Finance at SDMIMD, spoke at the event and stressed the need of academics participating actively in relevant research to help companies make better decisions and governments formulate better policies.
