Just make sure you know why you want an MBA from SMU or Singapore, your plans post mba . About placements I would like to point out that placements in any other country won't be like India, esp. here disparities in salaries here are huge.. People from big brand schools would get good starting packages .However abroad the salaries are a function of role. I have a very good pdf somewhere and I can dig up for you where Singaporean salaries in terms of function domain and work exp are structured and you won't find huge differences in compensation for people working in same roles across industries or in the same company. It's very systematic and logical as well.
Also there it's all on your prior work exp, knowledge and your ambitions motivation levels confidence and leadership qualities that would take you to heights. And that to some extent is a function of curriculum and brand of college, industry relations and visibility that makes you confident in front of employers.
I suggest you to do all your home work properly and go for it confidently. Hope to see you as a SMU student next year :)
