Are admissions in SMU on a rolling basis?,please guide..thanx

Dear Puys,
As an admitted applicant, i would like to share my complete application experience with you all.
I submitted my online application on 28th Feb and couriered them all the necessary documents on the same day.
I got my interview invite on 15th March. My inteview was done on 21st March. It was a skype interview, but due to some issues from my side they finally took a telephonic interview.
Two people took my interview. One was a faculty in business school and other was from adcom. Interview went for around 25 minutes. They asked me about my profile and future career plans. Also, typical questions like Why Singapore?.....Why SMU????
Nothing out of the box. Interview was completely stress free.
On 26th March I received my admit mail along with the scholarship details.

Hi Versatile30,
As far as i know, SMU is considered as one of the best in Singapore. As it is only 4-5 years old, we cannot expect SMU MBA to be as popular as NUS or NTU.
I do not think any alum from SMU is active on pagalguy.
I have a friend of mine who is doing his PG (not MBA) from SMU. I have asked him to enquire about the placement scenario in SMU. I will post all the information that i can get about SMU.

Regards

Hello Everyone,
I am currently studying MBA(Full Time) at Singapore Management University. I guess you all are having a lot of queries and as someone mentioned earlier that there is not much information available online. Please feel free to post your queries here as I think that this way i can share my experience and insights with most of you.

All the best to all the prospective candidates.

Cheers,
Varun

I completely agree with United1878. The campus is located in the city area and it is truly world class. The campus is easily accessible my MRT(as u may call metro in India), Bus or private vehicle. There are a lot of facilities available in SMU such as bloomberg terminal, datastream, CapitalIq, etc.
One may run out of time at SMU but not of opportunities. So it depends on you how you can make the best use of your time.

Cheers,
Varun

C) How do employers new program of SMU against the current well established NUS and NTU.

D) How active is SMU placement cell in terms of supporting to students for searching jobs.

E) How has been your overall experience in terms of class profile, quality of education etc

F) Any other point, you may wish to mention

I know you are flooded with quiet a few questions here :), but believe me answer to this Questions probably cover requirements of quiet a few on this thread.

Hi Varun,
Great to see a current student on this thread.

I wanted to know about the diversity of SMU class. I mean what is the percentage of foreign students (other than chinese) in SMU class? Also, what is the total strength of SMU class this year?

Best Regards

Varun - O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Other guys who are missing in action - any updates?

1 noteworthy thing I was communicated by a current student, I am sharing:

How many people in ur batch? How many Indians? Avg. GMAT score of Indians?
35, 11 , about 700 I think. I know a few who have got below this but most are in the 700-720 range

I second your data, exact same data when i interacted with someone from SMU.

I do not know but i still feel that the bigger Q remains as it is - such a small batch - i believe employers would may also not find motivation to visit the campus for such a small size of class.

I await the placement stories :)

thanks

Two Points worth noting:
a) The link says class size 60
The SMU MBA > Singapore MBA

b) The lesser the student, more the quality, content and individual attention. And MBA hiring companies are not looking to hire in bulks , so you need not worry about that :)
