Ok Now as the merit list is out I think it is the time to tell you guys the current scenario of SIOM. @zeuskhan has been bad mouthing the college for a long time. I wont say whatever is said is totally rubbish beacuse most of it is quite true but the way he expressed was wrong.
1. Everyone gives curriculum and coursework of program a lot of thought before joining a college specially for post graduation. No doubt curricullum here in SIOM is quite good but what the use of such a excellent curricullum when its neither followed or taught from. Most of the faculties here dont know what they are teaching , its like sitting in a really 3rd grade engineering class. SIOM did have some the best faculties in operations but unfortunately ALL GOOD FACULTIES HAVE GONE NOW. If you want to study by just cramming up the book you are most welcome in SIOM.
2. Well placements are also a important factor that comes in mind while selecting a Bschool in india. Well the reality is this if you have excellent academics(more than 80 in all) and extra curriculars then only you have a shot of getting a placement above 12lpa.For freshers its more difficult. If as a fresher you are satisfied with 6-7max lpa package then you are welcome to SIOM. Now @sagarcatwill say that a fresher has got 21lpa package ONCE but as we know exceptions are always there. For experienced guys if you guys want a package of more than 11lpa you should have excellent academics and no gap year otherwise max 11lpa

In addition to all this the college life is totally zero.
If you have a workex more than 24months dont come if you want salary more than 12lpa.
If you have excellent profile dont come drop a year and try NITIE or IIT B
If you are a fresher only come if you have excellent profile and no other option.
If you are a guy with decent academics and taking loan DONT YOU DARE COME.

Well so far i have been apprehensive of joining SIOM, specially after some people explaining the real things. Now my dilemma is resolved after getting a waiting list of 396😂 , i've already converted some other good colleges with an advantage of getting a PGDM core. I again want to thank SIOM for calling me at low 72 percentile, and specially the SIOM students who were so supportive on the D-day. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to visit the lovely city of Nasik, i am happy to move on to something that i actually wanted. Peace out for now🙋

For all the waitlisted students, last year the waitlist moved till 71. Year before that it moved till ~250, so at this moment no one can be pretty sure about the movement. Please have some patience, let the fist list come out. Don't be disheartened. SIOM is just like any other CLG. Aim high. This is about your whole life. Choose wisely. ATB
