Heard from a senior of present batch that SIOM is not doing good in terms of placement this time and most of the quality faculties have left. Is it really true? Want to book my slot for GEPIWAT however i'm really skeptic now. Is half of the batch is yet to be placed? How to travel from chennai?
Even i heard the same from the p resent batch student of siom, and i am in a dilemma too. cause investing 13 lacs on a degree should be worth it, but what i heard doesn't portraits a good picture. @Subramaniam1
@Isha.siom the stats on the site are of batch 2014-2016, 2015-2017 are not stated, and even i didnt got the positive feedback about the facult. So i dont know whom to trust, i hope you understand what i mean. Its very important decision of my life, my future depends on this decision.

Just booked the 3 pm slot on 19th Feb. I just want to know if there's any college specific form that I need to fill? The registration form that I've completed till now seems to be the common form.
What is the last date to book the slots and submit the profile?

Please do not post comments about placements based on unverified sources on pagalguy. The figures will soon be out and we will definitely talk about that after you convert SIOM.
Don't rely solely on your SNAP scores and assume you'd get through easily at this place if you have a high SNAP percentile. It does add to your portfolio but eventually what matters at SIOM is your work experience and how well you convince the panel about your interest in Operations ( especially for freshers and from non operations background ).
Start preparing , interviews won't be easy here , they're gonna grill you on topics like why operations , why not other fields of management , why not general management program. And do not think about placements now , I know it will be the deciding factor for all of you but for time being focus on interviews. You are going to compete with people working at pretty good companies and they won't make it any easy for you ( My batch has got people who have previously worked with Mahindra , Hindalco , Tata Power , JSW , Reliance , Shapoorji Pallonji to name a few , i am an ex-Flipkart , ex-Honda employee ). You can expect the same for the next batch too.
Be rest assured you will be placed at a good company from SIOM. You may check the position of our alumnis on linkedin.
