Hi Rutty,
Can u please give me a rough idea when will be the next SP Jain aptitude test conducted? Also how much time does the entire evaluation takes i.e. after the application is sent along with the aptitude test score?
Expecting a prompt reply :)

Hi,
Can someone throw some light on the 28th January test. What was the pattern and the difficulty level of the aptitude test? How was the GK section and other sections what kinda practice and preparation is needed for the test....
Is there someone who will be appearing for the next aptitude test?

Regards

Dear Manik,
If you wish to be considered for IB you need to send us an email at [email protected] about the same and if it is possible then we will inform you accordingly. but pls note that this is possible only before you are evaluated. once you have been through the evaluations then it is very difficult to change your stream and you would have to repeat the process again.
thanks

Thanks for the reply Rutty!

I have scheduled my interview on 3rd. In the check list for the docs to be brought, there's a "Certified Copies of Certificates" being mentioned.

As, i am bringing my original copies of the certificates, do i need to get the same attested. I am working away from my home location and hardly know people here to get the same attested.

Pls. take kind consideration!

We have not yet fixed the date for the next aptitude test, pls check our website in the next 10 days or so, the test test should be held about a month from now.
It takes 30-45 days for us to get back to you from the day we assess your application.
thanks

Yes, you do need to get attested copies of the same. You may attest them by any Notary Public or any gazetted officer.

Thanks for the reply Rutty!

Hello,
All of you who are shortlisted for evaluations or are interested in knowing about the Evaluation process may view my posting on the blog site SP Jain Dubai and Singapore - Admission Queries
I have put up a post explicitly elaborating on the entire process stage by stage.
hope you find it useful
thanks and All the Best!

Hi Rutty,

This is with regard to the test(s) to be taken for SP Jain Dubai/Singapore. What I have gathered is that one can take the CAT/XAT, GMAT or SP Jain's own aptitude test. My questions are as follows:

1. Can students apply with ANY ONE of the above test scores, or do they need to take more than one test. I have taken the GMAT. Can I apply only on the basis of that, or do I need to take either the CAT or the SPJain aptitude test as well?

2. I took the GMAT almost 4 years back (April 2003, score - 700). Will SP Jain still accept and recognise that score, or do you need a more recent score? I know that most schools accept GMAT scores that are up to 5 years old. But this is not the case with the PGPX and PGPEX programmes at IIMA and IIMC. So I would like to have this clarified.

My last query is with regard to the GD/PI's. I believe there is one happening on 3-4th Feb. After this, how many more GD/PI's does SPJain plan to organise, and at what intervals? Alternatively, could you give me a tentative date for the next round of GD/PI's?

Thanks for all your assistance.

Hi madam Rutty,

I had submitted my application form online. On confirming and submitting the form it said that we have to enclose digital signatures. However the form was submitted and accepted without it.I have even received the confirmation mail.Could you please guide me in this regard if a digital signature is required or not.If yes then can i submit it now.

Thanks.

Also maam i have another query.

I have applied with my previous years CAT and XAT scores.I had read on the site that we can do so.I just wanted to confirm if that is fine or i need to take the SPJain aptitude test.My previous years CAT and XAT scores are 82 and 85 percentile respectively.

Thanks

Hi rutty,

I have sent u a pm... could u plzz reply...

Dear Abbix,
1. Yes students only need to submit ANY ONE of these scores, we do not require more than 1.
2. i'm afraid we cannot accept a GMAT score of April 2003, as we accept scores of only upto 3 years earlier. so if you have a more recent score kindly submit that.

There is no fixed number on how many evaluation rounds we would be conducting and there is no specific interval time that we have between 2 evaluations.
we have not yet fixed the exact dates for the next round of evaluations but most likely it would be about 3-4 weeks from now.

pls let me know if you have any further questions.
thanks

Dear Ankita,
We do not require your digital signature.
Your CAT and XAT scores are both fine as they meet our cut off and you need not take the apttiude test. pls confirm which years CAT/XAT scores have you submitted as we accept scores upto the past 3 years which means from 2004 onwards.
Thanks

Hi Rutty,
I was not aware that we can apply with a previous years (CAT or XAT) score. I have a better score in the CAT 2005 as compared to the XAT 2006 score with which i have applied. So does that mean that in the final evaluation, i would lose out on the person who has a better (though older) score than me???
Basically does it mean that if a person applyin with a higher score as compared to mine, but an older score, would be ranked relatively higher???
i know that you'll are looking for a holistic profile of a candidate but how important a part does the CAt/XAT scores play in the final selection???
Thanx,
Dhawal.

sent you a reply
pls chk
thanks

Hi rutty,

I have sent u a pm... could u plzz reply...

Dear Dhawal,

As long as your score meets our cut off, it is fine with us. So at the time of evaluation your aptitude score will not be the deciding factor as you have already passed the first stage and you would be in the 2nd stage of the admissions process i.e. evaluations.
during the evaluations your communication skills, personality, smartness, what you have learnt from your work ex etc are assessed.
So even someone who has a 82 in the CAT but shows greater managerial ability could be selected over some one who might have 95 in CAT but lacks the skills we are looking for.

Hope you have understood what i am trying to convey.
however if you still wish, you can send us your previous years CAT score which is higher and we will collate the data with your application and update the same.
pls do not forget to carry both the score cards with you on the evaluation date.
you may inform us about your score by sending an email to [email protected]
thanks

hi rutty
i got my aptitude test score and have not been able to cross 75% i had couple of doutbs with regard to this
1) i would like to know that once with this score my application scrutinied will be be done again if a re do a aptitude test?
2)will my low score be a negative point in assessing my application for the second time .i mean if i cross 75% the next time will it be a comparative disadvantage with a student who has passed through the cutoff in the first attempt
3)should i wait for go a aptitude test even if you regect my appliaction,
ps note that my other credentials are good and have also maintained first class right through, have also been a rank holder and have international exposure in work
i also miss the cut off only my a margin of 10 %

Please address my concern
thanks
