I am sorry if this question has been asked before. Actually I wanted to know about the GD/PI call based on CAT score. My score is 86.46%ile. So my question is that do I meet the requirement as far as the written test is concerned. I read somewhere that cut off score is what matters. Above 80%ile the evaluation will only be profile based. So please confirm if I need not give the SPJAT or GMAT now.

I got 85.07 percentile in CAt 2007 and sent a mail to [email protected] requesting them for a score update.I received a confirmation today that the score will be updated.
An hour later I got a mail stating that i fall short of Cut off and I need to take SPJain Aptitide test.It is laso mentioned that this could be i)that the CAT score is not updated 2) the candidate falls short of teh expected percentile in CAT/GMAT
Can you let me know which of the above two cases is applicable for my application?
Do I still need to take SPJain Aptitude Test though i scored 85.07 percentile?

im currently doin my BBA From Symbiosis...will be givin my GMAT soon...n expecting around 640+.....
what are the chances of my admissions in th global MBA...specialisin with marketing...preferably service maktg.
also since im gonna be a fresher...in the sense without work-ex.....what is th package i could be expectin from th course mentioned...with jobs in INDIA....or abroad....with what profiles....i would like to kno...what are ur predictions in terms of th package and also the packages which STUDENTS WITHOUT WORK EX have been getting from MBA with SMM....
my undergrad avg is around 80% with 84% and 70% in 10th n 12th.....
have taken part in various coll activities....organizing committees....n won prizes for badminton and best debator....also taken part in a lot of sports throughout my academic life so far....
waiting for some really helpful response from you....

Hi,
You would not need to take the aptitude test as your score meets our cut-off. We would consider your score alongwith a lot of other factors before deciding to shortlist a candidate.

it would depnd on your past profile and the knowledge gined from the programme - it could be anything from consultant to manager etc

Hi,
Are you a graduate or would you be graduating soon?
IF you are not a graduate you would not be able to apply for the MAY 08 intkae as we need studnets to be complete graduates at the time of submitting their application.
While we prefer students with work ex, we do consider freshers who are outstanding.
I cannot comment on your chances as that is a decision of the Admissions Commitee.

Sorry to barge in to answer this query, n correct me shweta if i'm wrong.
Now the kind of packages u get depend upon many factors:
the company u attend, the profile ur applying for.
your learning during the course work.
relevant work ex/ in absence of the same how do you convince the company of ur candidature.
your past academic performance etc.
most imp of all : luck factor.
So in all its quite difficult for any one to answer such queries. Moreover, an institute is not a placement agency, sorry if i sound rude, but honestly it depends totally on the student on how he moulds himself.
Please take the note positively and accordingly plan ur chances.

i need information regarding aptitude test.
1. The DD worth Rs. 2000( fee for the test) is to be made against whose name and when is the last date to send it?
2.When and where will be the test taken?
3. Is there any center in indore where i can give the test?
4. please suggest some books to study for the aptitude test.
I have a low Gmat score, a strong work experience and a good academic performance, thus i m applying for Gmat again and also wish to give the aptitude test.

All answers for your doubts are there on SP Jains official website for dubai/singapore prgm.
1)But still the DD has to be made in favor of " S P Jain Institute of Management and Research".
2)The test is scheduled on 2nd Feb in 3 cities Mumbai,Banglore and Delhi.
3)No centre presently at Indore.
4)Finally for SP JAT no specific books as such are present but the test is comparitively easier than CAT.My personal view would be go for RS Agarwal(Quant and Reasoning) and CAT material if possible.Also prepare for GK cos there are almost 10 questions on it.
Please go through the official website and cross check all my clarifications.
