Hi Rutty,

I am not able to submit my form online for the GMBA May Intake 2008 for the past few days.

Let me explain the problem in detail.

I had duly filled all relevant sections 1) Personal Details 2) Academic Details
3) Work Experience 4) Other Information.
Once I saved -> clicked on Confirm -> Tick the 'I Agree' Checkbox -> Press SUBMIT , the application should ideally submit and provide me with an acknowledgement no. to be used for future correspondence.
However, after I click SUBMIT, it shows ' Errors on the page' in status bar and doesnt seem to submit.

I have been trying to submit my application for more than a week now, from different places, but the problem remains the same.

Could you suggest me in this regard. I can share my login credentials with you, in case you can provie help to me.

i have 3+ yrs of work ex and good acads till X and XII.
X - 89.4
XII - 84.3
In my graduation,i have 59.23% as the overall percentage.I didnt score a first class in 2nd and 3rd yr.
I have decent extra curriculars and reco letters from employer
I had applied for the Information management prog on dec27 for but still havent got any response?
Do u think i have a chance? If yes
Shd i go for SPJAT exam as i didnt perform well in CAT.

Shashank,

The problem occurs when any of your inputs exceed the word limit. The application doesn't throw any message though. There isn't any validation on the word limit either. I could figure that out when I was submitting my application. Try removing a few words from your inputs, especially from the Achievements and Extra Curricular Activities section. This should work.

Strangely, once i click on confirm and go into the confirmation page, it shows my father's name on the left hand corner of the webpage. This field is being picked up from the Personal details page. I tried to delete a few words from that page as well, but it dint work.

Could you help me yet again... i dont mind shariny my login/password if you got some time in helping me apply.

Make sure there are no Special characters in your appln form. If there are any remove them & then submit .it should work.

Unfortunately we do not accept XAT scores - hence you would have to take the GMAT or SPJAT

Does my XAT score meets the cut off or should i take GMAT?

Hi,
1) We havent yet decided abt future tests - so I cannot comment on when or whtehr we will have moe apt tests

2) Well as you know that the admissions are on a rolling basis - as and when applications are recd they are screened - so if you want your admissions process to go in a spaced out manner - it is better to apply earlier

3) If you are shortlisted fo rthe evaluations you may give your reasons as to why you have opted for WM. As of now there is not much you can do. And FYI we do havea alot of applicants from non finance backgrounds who apply for Finance spec

All my years of graduation is well above first class. I have secured in around 74-75% in all semesters. Moreover our college is very reputed college in chem engg since 1942.

Nways i have few more queries for you. If you dont mind.

1) you must be knowing that Spjat is ard 2 weeks from now. I need to know that whether the authorities conduct the aptitude test again for may intake apart from this 2feb,08 exam. Actually i dont want to take second chance dis time and wanna prepare to the best.

2) Whether there is any advantage if you apply early as the deadlines are upto 31st march. Last time i applied at around the deadline only.

3) In the previous application, I applied under IB....so this around i ll be applying under Finance only may be WM. As 1st stage of application involves no essays ...only form filling. so how can i emphasize them to shortlist my name for 2nd stage process. As i dont have finance background and moreover if i will opt for other branch, they might ask me why i have choosen IB in Jan intake??????

I have a GMAT Score of 620 and an experience of 2 years and 3 months in IT and 3 months in Production .I also have an onsite experience of 3 months in IT.I am applying for Product Marketing and Management.Please,let me know whether i should take SP Jain Aptitude Test?.Also,i am not able to submit the online application form.It throws a Java Error.Please,let me know what should be done in regard to the same.

Hi,
While we do expect students to have atleast a first class all throughout I cannot comment on your chances as that is a decision of the Admissions Commitee which will takea decision after viewing your entire profile.
Also you may takethe SPJAT if you wish to improve on your CAT score

As per the SPJAIN 80% is the cutoff .... u surpass the cutoff so u may need not take the SPJAT...
but the SPJain take best of the 2..
so upto u to decide..

it is not very far... & actuallly u can travel by Auto in that area...
so may cost 100 bucks max...

Hi,
As regards Taking the test - your GMAT score is a little belwo our cut off of 650. HEnce you may take the SPJAT if you wish to improve on your GMAT scores.

As regards appln submission - pls remove all apostrophes, commas, quotes etc from your application and then try and submit. If it still doesnt happen - then pls email [email protected] - our technical dept. The would help you
