THis decision lies withthe Admissions Commmitee and I suggest you be patient and wait a while until your exact status is put up on our website

As on Date no status message has been reflected in my application login Id: manavvirdi I have a decent profile to quote:

Wrk Ex- 1yr 9 mnths in World's Largest Motorcycle Manufacturing Company.--HERO HONDA MOTORS LIMITED
-----Working as Team Manager Materials n Logistics Department, Haridwar Plant A GREENFIELD PROJECT due to commence production in April 2008
----Single Handedly carrying all the Activities Of the Department centralised in Delhi in Haridwar ( Uttarakhand) for past 1 yr.
----Was specially transfered from Delhi to Haridwar due to the faith of Seniors in my Capability as an individualto manage activities in the GREEN FIELD project.
----Cross Funtional Expousure of Admin HR Stores and other Departments owing limitation of manpower as of date in Haridwar Plant.

However,no status message or shortlisting itimation has reached my end as on date, inspite of such a good profile( My presumption)
Does my relativly low GMAT scores put me into such a situation of not receiving the Interview call.
Pls help, as i can then plan to retake GMAT once Again, as your's is the only college i have decided to get My MBA Degree from.
Hi, Well not to wrry there are alot of studnets who come from tech/Engg backgrounds who are applying for areas like Mkting/Finance.
Well while I cannot tell you what exactly we ask - I can tell u that we would look at your over all personality - your communication skills, smartness , domain expertise and how focussed you are
A group interview would comprise of a Panel interviewing 2-3 of you together.
Reading the newspaper regularly would obviously help make you aware of the current affairs.

I have a call for the GD/PI on 10th of feb. I have a few queries about it and it would really useful if you could answer them.
First of all...am an IT guy..work ex 2 yrs...been a techi all my life and watever interviews i have attended have been more or less tech in nature.
I have absolutely no idea as to what to expect in the GD or in the PI...and most of all what is Group Interview..... never heard of it.
I dont know what or how to prepare for any of these or what kind of topics or current affairs to brush up on.
Can you please help me out here and throw some light on this grp interview thing as well. As in if I am interviewd with another guy of lets say marketing background..what are they expecting out of both of us.
Am kind of getting a bit jittery here...plz help!!
Hi Stuta, Well you may go ahead and apply - and in my opinion you need not worry about taking our apt test as your CAT score is fine as it meets our cut off
While we do prefer candidates with work ex we do consider freshers who are outstanding. However I cannot comment on your chances as that is the decision of the Admissions Commitee.

I was planning to apply for spj's GMBA progrm. howevr i came across dat d aptitude test is on 2nd feb, n i havnt yet filled in d form, neither m i prepared for d test.. is there any oder date on wich d test could b held, before 31st march dat is d last date of forms acceptance??
My details are as below: Xth CBSE: 94.8% Xth CBSE: 78% GRAD (ECONOMICS): 71.33%
I have decent extra curriculars n academic achievements too..But i am a fresh grad wid no work exp :sad: CAT'07: 85.3%
so in ur opinion, what do u think, shud i take d aptitude test, or just fill in d form and wait for d call? would nil wrk exp prove risky in my selection for d program??

Hey I wanna know one thing.. BHARUCHA maam.. Still I have not recieved any kind of confirmation or any communication about my rejection or a call for GD and PI for SP Jain.. Dubai campus..

Overall the test seems to be easy. Pick up the right questions and as there is no sectional cut off don't stick to one particular section.
The mistake i made was i took up RC before Numerics, and the RC passage being arbit took a lot of time.
I really don't have any idea about the cut off!
Good luck to all who will be appearing the next test, for guy's who gave the test today put in the no. of attempts you made so a rough estimate can be made.

Hi, took the SPJAT toady. Rutty, it would be great if you can let us know whether there would be sectional cutoffs too in SPJAT. I found the GK and Diagramatic Reasoning parts bit tough and attempted very few questions in those sections. Attempted 23 questions in total. How about other puys who took the test?
But ya, i feel the GK was a bouncer for most of us. Diagramatic was still average. And RC was again :-(

Hi! The test had 2 sections on the tough side! yes...I would say RC and GK gave a little every1 a headache... Overall the test was on the easier side,
The Format of the Test was like following:
Section 1: Diagramatic Reasoning (Easy) Section 2: IQ (Normal) Section 3: Numeracy: (Easy) Section 4: Critical Reasoning: (Normal to Hard Questions) Section:5: GK( hard questions from geography to sports to history) Section 6: Reading Comprehension(Tough)
The test had 44 questions in all wid total marks being 100 Every Section had differential marking and der are negative marks. There are no sectional cutoffs!

I have written SPJAIn aptitude test and now as i m trying to fill GMBA application , i m not able to save the application and get to the next page. it is giving "Page cant be found" error. I have tried all day approx 10 times but same error. Kindly let me know is it some website problem or wat? Plz help Thanks in advance
I started filling my application form but when i tried saving my details in the first page its giving the following error and the data is not getting saved properly

Please advice how i need to proceed or is this error happening for all ppl today?

We havent yet decided when the next one would be. We just had one yesterday i.e 2nd FEb 08 and the details for which were put up well in advance. We always announce the date of the test well in advance so as to give every aspirant a chance to study. In any case iof you are sure you are going to take the test - why wait for the date to be announced - u can start preparing from today!
