Just FYI - SP Jain Centre of Management, Dubai-Singapore is ONE entity and the course does not run separately in boththe campuses - the GMBA prog is a ONE year FULL TIME prog wherein you are studying 6 mths in Dubai and 6 mths in Singapore.
And we also do not accpet XAT scores for the MAy 08 intake. We only accept CAT/GMAT or SPJAT scores

Hi, I have taken Xat this year with a percentile of 91.7.. can you let me know the details regarding the admission procedure for spjain dubai and singapore both... And what exactly is the diffeence in terms of academics and placement in both these campuses...
I have applied for the GMBA course in IT Management. I have not got any mail acknowledgement regarding whether my application was received or not. When I made a call, they said yes your application is in our database. A friend of mine with almost the same profile, acads and extra currics who applied even a day or two after my application have got a mail for Evaluation Process. I havent got the mail earlier too(neither in my inbox nor in spam) , so are there any chances that I have been missed this time too or it is all over for me. The status of both of us is "Your status will be updated soon". I am aware that status updation takes about 30 days and we have just applied 10 days back, to be precise on 20th Jan, but still my friend has a call and even interview date is of 9th or 10th Feb., so does that mean its over for me? Because even if my status gets updated after 30 days, then the evaluation dates will be passed by. I am very much worried ( And I am having a pretty decent profile to say, just a snapshot CAT- 94.5 percentile 19 month experience with a Fortune top 200 company 10th-80% 12th -80% Engg.-74% CBSE National Chess Player Many awards in Quizzes and Debates Best Student of School Awrd Best Fresher recruited by my company , Professional Certification by IBM Certified in Insurance domain by IIA First level Course in a Foreign Langauge Certificate of Achievement for Project Assignments ...and loads and loads of other certificates.)

I was going through the (GMBA Admission Requirements and Guidelines) ..It does not mention any limit on any type of scores....
I did apply with these guidelines in mind and awaiting some news on shortlisting....On listening to the traffic on this site.. I did go and ran through your official site to find them listed under FAQ section..(Quite an unusual place!!!!! ideally I wish they were at a more befitting location...(Just an advise!!! no offence please...)
Now what to do..I have applied with 640 in mind and as per FAQ (page 2) I may have been misled by the (GMBA Admission Requirements and Guidelines) ...
What do you say.....Although The FAQ section says it is Rare(!!!!!) for you to look at something below 650 GMAT....HOW rare

Firstly - if you know your application no then naturally your application has been submitted.
Pls dont be disheartened - it is not all over for you - as this is only the first round of evaluations and we will have another round.
By then you would know your exact status.
SO even if you havent received a call for evaluation this time - I suggest you pls be patient and wait to know your exact status.

Well we would presume students to read through the entire website and taking an informed decision before applying - In any case - it is only logical that we would have some limit for the scores and not accept just any scores.
However your score of GMAT 640 is just marginally below our cut off - and the Admissions Commitee takes a decision regarding a students status after reviewing his/her profile as a whole.
You may wait for your status to get updated and se where exactly you stand

One of my friend has a GMAT score of 610, alongwith 27 months of IT exp. ,good acads and good extra curriculars. just wanted to know whether he will be considered for evaluations (based on his GMAT score and overall profile).

Does my relativly low GMAT scores put me into such a situation of not receiving the Interview call.

I have a call for the GD/PI on 10th of feb. I have a few queries about it and it would really useful if you could answer them.
First of all...am an IT guy..work ex 2 yrs...been a techi all my life and watever interviews i have attended have been more or less tech in nature.
I have absolutely no idea as to what to expect in the GD or in the PI...and most of all what is Group Interview..... never heard of it.
I dont know what or how to prepare for any of these or what kind of topics or current affairs to brush up on.
Can you please help me out here and throw some light on this grp interview thing as well. As in if I am interviewd with another guy of lets say marketing background..what are they expecting out of both of us.

so in ur opinion, what do u think, shud i take d aptitude test, or just fill in d form and wait for d call? would nil wrk exp prove risky in my selection for d program??
