Hi,

FYI the basic criteria is not just having a CAT score that meets our cut of ut a lot of other facotors are looked at as well.
We look at the academics, work ex, entrance test score, extra curriculars, acheivemnts etc - basically the entire profile as a whole before deciding to shortlist a candidate.

You may be falling short on any of the above and that could be reason of your being put on the waitlist

Thank you for the interest shown in S P Jain, Dubai-Singapores GMBA (May 2008 intake) program. We are in receipt of your application and on screening the same we find you falling short on some of our admission criteria due to which we have kept you on our waiting list. Periodically (there is no specific time frame for doing so - it is done as and when the need for doing so arises) this list is reviewed and students moved to the evaluation process. Please check this website at intervals to ascertain if there has been any change in your admission status. .

My Application number is :- 21470- IT
CAT Percentile: 91.85

I think I clear the basic cutoff with respect to CAT score , then what could be the reason for my application to be in waiting state.

I would really appreciate your help.

You would have to either take a rickshaw or a prepaid taxi from the airport to andheri (W)

bhavans campus is quite well known in the area

It would take u abt 30 mins or so to reach

Yes you may inform us about your CAT score by sending an email to [email protected] and we will update your application with the same.

Your CAT score is fine as it meets our cut off - u need nottake the SPJAT

And i personally feel i can do better in SPJAT this time.. would a better percentile not make any difference beyond the cut offs??

I have a small problem: I've been shortlisted for the evalutaion stage. My appln no. is 20733-IB. I picked a slot yesterday morning: 8:30 am, 9th March. But I haven't received the automated call letter yet. Was just wondering whether it'll be delivered by post.

i am not sure if this question has been asked before... but can u tell me if sp jain dubai accepts XAT scores?..bcoz only CAT and Gmat scores are mentioned on their web site.....But as far as I know they used to consider ur XAT scores also till last year ??

Your CAT 06 score is higher than he CAT 07 score. You may use the same

If you wish to improve on your score you may take the SPJAT.However I still suggest you need not take the same

No, it is not posted to u - it is sent via email.
IF you havent recd the email pls check ur junk/spam - as it may have gone there - if its not there as well then pls email [email protected] mentioining that u havent recd the automated call letter and giving ALL possible email ids - preferably gmail ones.

We have stopped accepting XAT scores since the MAy 08 intake.

We accept CAT/GMAT/SPJAT scores

Hi Swetha Mam,

I have received an Evaluation call from S P Jain,Dubai and I have booked my date on March 8th.Regarding this I have two queries to get clarified.
1) Do we need to bring copies of Statement Of Purpose(SOP) & Recommendation Letter from employer for the evaluation process?Will it be a value add?
2) Regarding the DD for Rs2500/- for attending the evaluation process,do we need to send it along with a covering letter mentioning the Appln number and Name?Because they have just mentioned to send a DD before March 3rd.How do they recognize from whom the DD has come??

I have applied for May Intake Batch.
I hasve also visited the web site, but the placement details displayed there does not seem transperant enough. e.g. Average Pay Packages displayed there include both salaries(Indian as well as foreign salaries)
Please tt would be better, if you could provode the split up of packages in Inidan Salaries and Foreign Salaries in all the specialization categories.

Just going through the various posts, i realize that there is another evaluation process happening on 9th/10th March for the June intake.

My application status on the website still shows a Wait List. Just wanted to know whether this is the final evaluation process happening for June intake? and if so, the wait list status automatically means a rejection ??

Hi ,
I have a got call for Evaluation process for GMBA program at SPJ.

My Profile:
10th = 83.8 % CBSE in 2000
12th = 85.0 % CBSE in 2002
B.Tech = 8.81 CPI of 10 in 2006
16 Months Wrok-ex at TCS
CAT 99.91 percentile.

I'm apprehensive about going for GMBA program because of the
following reasons :
1. I have been told by people that just 16 month work-ex will be insufficient for getting a good placement.
2. Affording 12 lakhs INR seems more than impossible......

I would be glad if u may provide me some details like
1. Some details about the placement package and profile (Indian and Foreign according to work-ex prior to GMBA)
2. Is there any financial AID or Scholarship program at the college level?
If yes then provide me details about the same......

Please reply ASAP so that I may decide about further process of evaluation....

Dear Miss Rutty,

Kindly refer to my Application No 20613- PMM.

I had applied in the second week of January.

Didn't got thru 9 FEB evaluation.

Still not called for 9 MAR evaluation.

As per you, we get our status within 30-35 days of submission.

I guess that has resonably passed my application submission date.

But till date , it's still showinh WAITLIST-INTIAL SCREENING.

There is one other thing i nee to calrify.

I got selected last year for 9 MAR evaluation , but could n't attend it as i happened to meet an accident and was bed for 3 mnths.

I couldn't update SP JAIN that i willn't attend the interview.

Is this the probable reason that i have not been left in waiting list.

My profile was same as last year and i have even added a yr ex more.

GMAT is also OK as per you.

But then , why am I still in waitlist.

I request SPJAIN to give me a chance once again.
