Hi ,

Could someone tell me what kind of profiles would one generally come across in the Logistics & Supply Chain Managaement specialization. Do you normally come across people with an IT background (Say ERP SAP ) in Log & SCM.

Ofcourse it would all depend on how good one is at justifying a specialization in Log & SCM, but just wanted to get a brief picture of the kind of profile the ADCOM would expect from someone wanting to pursue this particular specialization.

I was recently made to learn about the entrance exam of SP JAIN Dubai Singapore being held on 1st of March and am very curious about getting admission in your prestigious college, but wanted to clear my few queries about my eligibility for securing admission in your college. Firstly I have 9 months of full time work EX in a mutual Fund company, secondly I have secured a distinction in my graduation and haven't taken any entrance exams as yet. So with the above qualifications with me, is it suitable for me to apply for the coming entrance test on 1st March and also wanted to know which other intakes take place for SP Jain and details about the same. Also one more request is to provide some details of any model question papers for the entrance test which could be available online or any other source. Thanking you.

I will be giving SPJAT on 1st March,08, But I heard that the Final evaluation dates for June intake is around 8 March onwards. So can i submit the my application after the SPJAT paper results......ie around 7th March,08.

1) No, we do not need a SOP nor do we require ref letters.
2) yes, pls write your Appln no, name, email id and phone no at the back of the DD

Hi Swetha Mam,

I have received an Evaluation call from S P Jain,Dubai and I have booked my date on March 8th.Regarding this I have two queries to get clarified.
1) Do we need to bring copies of Statement Of Purpose(SOP) & Recommendation Letter from employer for the evaluation process?Will it be a value add?
2) Regarding the DD for Rs2500/- for attending the evaluation process,do we need to send it along with a covering letter mentioning the Appln number and Name?Because they have just mentioned to send a DD before March 3rd.How do they recognize from whom the DD has come??

I have applied for May Intake Batch.
I hasve also visited the web site, but the placement details displayed there does not seem transperant enough. e.g. Average Pay Packages displayed there include both salaries(Indian as well as foreign salaries)
Please tt would be better, if you could provode the split up of packages in Inidan Salaries and Foreign Salaries in all the specialization categories.

The S'pore Govt doesnt lend its name for certification of programs. And the Singapore University is a different entity all together.

The details of the certification that you will receive for the May 08 intake are given on our website S.P.Jain Center of Management, Dubai . Singapore under the FAQ's section

I cannot comment if this would be the final evaluation round or not as our admission process is on a rolling basis. A decision about the next round of evlautions would be taken at a later date

Just going through the various posts, i realize that there is another evaluation process happening on 9th/10th March for the June intake.

My application status on the website still shows a Wait List. Just wanted to know whether this is the final evaluation process happening for June intake? and if so, the wait list status automatically means a rejection ??

Hi,

I am afraid we cannot give out details about our past/present students. AS you know that we have had 100% placements til ldate and not necessarily that ALL our students have 24 months+ work ex. There are some students who havea afew months less than 2 yrs but have still got good placements.

We do have tie ups with certain bansk that can assist you with loans and we also offer scholarships selectively.

I have a got call for Evaluation process for GMBA program at SPJ.

My Profile:
10th = 83.8 % CBSE in 2000
12th = 85.0 % CBSE in 2002
B.Tech = 8.81 CPI of 10 in 2006
16 Months Wrok-ex at TCS
CAT 99.91 percentile.

I'm apprehensive about going for GMBA program because of the
following reasons :
1. I have been told by people that just 16 month work-ex will be insufficient for getting a good placement.
2. Affording 12 lakhs INR seems more than impossible......

I would be glad if u may provide me some details like
1. Some details about the placement package and profile (Indian and Foreign according to work-ex prior to GMBA)
2. Is there any financial AID or Scholarship program at the college level?
If yes then provide me details about the same......

Please reply ASAP so that I may decide about further process of evaluation....

HI,
When we state that your application status will be updated within 30-35 days we mean your "APPLICATION STATUS" post screening - which is already waitlist.

If you have received a call in the previous intake it does not necessarily mean that you will be shortlisted for this intake as well our criteria may keep changing every intake.

Dear Miss Rutty,

Kindly refer to my Application No 20613- PMM.

I had applied in the second week of January.

Didn't got thru 9 FEB evaluation.

Still not called for 9 MAR evaluation.

As per you, we get our status within 30-35 days of submission.

I guess that has resonably passed my application submission date.

But till date , it's still showinh WAITLIST-INTIAL SCREENING.

There is one other thing i nee to calrify.

I got selected last year for 9 MAR evaluation , but could n't attend it as i happened to meet an accident and was bed for 3 mnths.

I couldn't update SP JAIN that i willn't attend the interview.

Is this the probable reason that i have not been left in waiting list.

My profile was same as last year and i have even added a yr ex more.

GMAT is also OK as per you.

But then , why am I still in waitlist.

I request SPJAIN to give me a chance once again.

We however do not shortlist candidates who do not have a score.

We have 2 intakes in a year - May and Dec

We do not have any sample papers for the SPJAT
