I had attended the Interview on Feb 3.My id is 13173IT. I have opted for Feb 28 spjat. My current status is active waitinglist. Is this because I have to attend spjat or some other reason. Once i get the results for spjat will i be required to send it across or will the institute be notified .

There is no specific time frame as to when the waitlist is reviewed by the Admissions committee and when a student is moved onto the second stage if he is found suitable.
Hence i cannot give you any exact dates. I do understand about your overseas project, but I'm afraid i do not have any specifics for you.

Im sorry but i do not have the breakup of the rounds. the decision to offer a student is not on the basis of the marks or how many rounds he goes through , but on how he has performed overall in the entire evaluation process.
hi rutty i have appeared for the GD/PI selection of the gmba june intake.
but i didn' t get thru the process i need to know in which section i loose the marks i mean in the five rounds which were conducted can i know the marks
or else in which round i was short listed. waitin for ur reply.

Your CAT/XAT scores are fine as they meet our cut off, so this could not be the reason why you have been waitlisted.
You need to check whether your academics have been a first class right through - ie 10th, 12th and ALL years of graduation.
pLs understand that competition for places in is very tough and that we have received some outstanding applications.
Kindly do not lose heart as the waitlist is reviewed from time to time and students who are found suitable are moved to the evaluation stage.
However there is no fixed time frame as to when this list is reviewed.

I have applied for the IT specialization.My application status says that i have been waitlisted.Is it due to the CAT/XAT scores.
My CAT and XAT scores are 81 and 85 percentile resp.
I have a decent profile with Distinction in 10th and 12th and first class in engg.
Also i have 1.5 years of IT experience in a reputed CMMI level 5 MNC.
What is it that i have fallen short of then?
What are my chances of moving from waitlist to evaluation and by when will this happen.
This is very important for me as i have a onsite engagement and i need to decide on that urgently.

While I cannot tell you the exact reason why you are waitlisted I can tell you for sure that it is not your CAT score. During the evaluation stage the CAT score is not what we look at ( this is looked at during shortlisting for evaluations). You are assessed on your smartness, personality, communication skills, knowledge etc during evaluations.
you may have fallen short on some of these aspects and that is the reason why you have been waitliisted.

I have a CAT %ile of 90 and 16 months wrk ex as of Feb, 2007. Have decent acads from one of the many pvt engg colls. I had applied for Dec intake in 2006, was called for the next round but decided to skip it as wanted to be in the June batch.
Will the CAT score be good enough in order to qualify for the next round?? Do I need to take the SP Jain internal test? Have an above average, but not exceptional profile.
Will the choice of super specializtn affect the qualification for the next round? As in are we competing with only those who have opted for the same super specialization?
After how many months work-ex are you considered elligible for laterals?

That is anybody having more than XX percentile will be shorlisted irrespective of the actual percentile beyond the cut off level.Or do these actually serve as a criteria during the shortlist process also.
I read on the site:
The aptitude test serves more as a cut-off. Candidates whose scores are below a certain number are "cut-off" but no distinction is made for candidates who meet the aptitude test minimum score requirement.
So this would mean all applicants getting beyond the cut off level will be treated equally there on.The distinction would then be on the basis of the profile with the entrance test marks playing absolutely no role.
Would be greatful if you could confirm on this.

Still some few solid doubts l have?
1. abt financing of fee amount:
a. where to get d loan from?
b. How much %age of total amt. possible?
c. do i need to put some security against it?
d. how much time does all d above formalities take to clear? (will I have sufficient time.. after (if) i got thru)..
and
2. abt. placements:
a. where r d max. placements located? .. how much in dubai?, singapore?, or back home india?
b. say my placements occur in singapore centre?, den r there any dubai recruitments option also available and vice versa?
c. any record division analysis b/w different locations?
(tho avg. packages and recruiters list , and mentioned on site, but cud not find ans to above ques?)

Your CAT score is fine with us as it is above the cut off. We look at your qualification and suitability for the stream you have applied for so you are not just competing, as you say, with candidates who have opted for the same stream but with every applicant to SP Jain.
There is no fixed number of years that is a cut off for lateral placements, it would depend on your previous work ex and profile and the skills you have.

Dear Ankita,
What this means is that our criteria to shortlist students is not only entrance test based. and a higher entrance test score doesn't necessarily mean that your chances of getting shortlisted are higher. if you have a high entrance test score but are falling short on other parameters you may not be shortlisted.

1. Financing
a. You may take an educational loan from any nationalised or foreign bank
b. most banks offer a max of 15 lakhs
c. generally if the loan is above 7.5 lakhs you would have to mortgage a property with the bank
d. banks can process loans as quick as a week to 10 days if all your paperwork is in order.
2. PLacements
