I want to know about one thing. When are the 2 recommendations(evaluations) supposed to be posted ?? Are they required at the time of paying the initial deposit of 2500 USD or later when the candidate joins ??

On the basis of my query for giving aptitude test i got the response as
'There is no need to give our aptitude test as this percentile would be fine if your academics and work-exp is good.'

So does it mean that I needn't give any aptitude test for sure.When can I know if I am shortlisted for the interview at the earliest.

I will be appearing for the SP Jain Aptitude test scheduled for the 14th of April, 2007. I would like to know whether this test will qualify me to apply for the June 07 intake. Further, from the other posts on pagalguy.com, I came to know that there is a GD/PI scheduled for the 31st of March. Am i eligible for it? (P.S.: I have already applied for the course online).

Post my online application I got a mail in which it replied as "By the third week of April 2007 should you not be in a position to furnish us a score, we regret to advise you that you would not be considered for evaluation screening." How soon will the test scores will be out and when will the GD/PI be conducted. Will i be able to apply for the June '07 course?

Further, what is the kind of prepartion is required to qualify in the SP Jain Aptitude tests? Are there specific sections, their respective cut-offs expected? Is there any negative marking?

Really keen on joining your intitute for the June '07 inatke. You would prove to be a great help, if you could answer my queries and help me out. Awaiting your reply.

Hi Rutty,

I have got through the GMBA program in IT. I am currently facing a lot of financial issue and after repeated enquirywith banks, I am unable to sercure loan amount. I understand from some of my friends in SP Jain Mumbai, that 1/2 year course in Mumbai and Dubai/Singapore have the same structure. Will it be possible to take a transfer to the SP Jain Mumbai 1yr course this year as I will be able to cover the expense for the same.

Hope you understand my concerns and help me out with this issue.

Dear Shilpi,
I cannot give you specific reasons as to why you are still on the waitlist.
PLs note that the entrance test score is not the only criteria for us to shortlist a candidate.
We would look at your academics (10,12 and ALL years of graduation) , your work ex, extra curriculars, achievements alongwith your entrance test score.
You might have fallne short on any of these criteria and hence you are waitlisted.
this waitlist is reviewed from time to time as and when need be by the admissions Committee and students found suitable are moved onto the Evaluation stage.
I guess you will just have to be patient and check your status at regular intervals for any change in the same.

Once you make the payment of the initial deposit you will receive a Welcome Kit over email which will also contain the reference letter format.
You will have to then submit the reference letters at that point in time.
pls note that i have mentioned in my post on SP Jain Dubai and Singapore - Admission Queries that students who have been offered are not to use pagalguy as the official forum to address their queries.

You will know your status within 30 days time.
If you help me with your application no. or mention your CAT/XAT/GMAT percentile i could be in a better position to comment whether you need to take the test or not.

Hi,
We would need a candidate to have a score before we can shortlist them.
if you do not have a CAt/XAT/GMAT score then we would need you to take the test before we can consider your application for the evaluations.

Hence it would not be possible for us to shortlist you for the evaluations on the 31st of March 07 as you do not have a score on you.
The aptitude test is like any other MBA entrance test where we would test you on Maths,logic,English,GK etc.
There are no sectional cut offs and there is negative marking.

Hi,
You may opt for a stream change only before being evaluated.
Once you are evaluated it is not possible for you to ask for a change in stream.

Hi,
I'm afraid we do not have any sort of transfer system between SPJIMR, Mumbai and SPJCM, Dubai-Singapore.
IF you wish to take admission into SPJIMR,Mumbai you will have to apply separately to them and go thru their own admission process.

Yes we do reject candidates who are not at all suitable or eligible to be shortlisted for our programme.
The decision to shortlist a candidate who is on the waitlist, lies with the admissions Committee.
