Should you go through from the initial screening process to the Evaluation stage it would be up to you to convince the panel that you have sufficient knowledge of the specialization you are opting for and that you would be able to cope with the switch in your education/work experience.

I have a work ex of 2.4 years in automotive industry and working with the best known auto giant world over. I have applied for the IB specialization.
The doubt which i am facing is that, is my experience considered valid for a specialization like that of IB.
I have already applied, but according to ur past experience, can u throw some light that whether spjcm do entertain profiles of people like me in specializations like Investment Banking....?

The average salaries that you see are the average salaries offered in India and Abroad.We have not put up have specific break up of salaries of India and abroad.
These are only the average salary figures,what an individual would get would obviously be based on his past work experience,past profile and knowledge gained from the course and it is only obvious that the salaries abroad would be in proportion to the standard of living of the country where you are based.

I saw the avg salaries being offered to the students in Dubai and Singapore. And the figures look good. But are the students in both Singapore and Dubai being offered same kind of packages or is there some difference between the packages offered?
And the other question is whether students are being placed in India with those packages? Those packages even though impressive from the Indian Standards are not the best figures when compared with the Dubai and Singapore standard of living.

I think that SP Jain guys are waiting for the aptitude test to take place. May be once they get the scores of good number of students, they will start the evaluation process. Moreover last year, I guess the evaluation process started in October. That was when the course was supposed to start in December itself. This year the course will start in january and that too is tentative. So i dont think they will start the evaluation process before September. How are you guys preparing for the test ?

Just wanted to know that how far the venue of the evaluation process is from the Santa Cruz airport. I need to plan my itinerary and need this information for making the bookings.
Can you please answer the foll queries: 1>How much weightage does the CAT/GMAT/Other score carry in the evaluation stage? 2>Can you please give a brief overview on the various stages in the evaluation process? 3>Does the recommendation letters be sent to your Liason office Mumbai prior to the evaluation process or is it ok if we can bring them at the venue along with the other documents. 4>Are there any facilities-(accomodation) for outstation candidates who have been shortilisted for othe evaluation process? And how long does the evaluation process be scheduled for so that we can plan our return tickets accordingly.
Just wrote the spjain aptitute test...It was simple, 6 sections in it and the time was 1 hour.
Can anuone tell us, when the results will be out for this test..
And one more querry @ RUTTY How will we intimate our scores of the spjain aptitude test to the institute...Or will the institute get the scores directly as we have mentioned in the application form about the test????
wrote the aptitude test today. i didnt do great.. ok types. fingers crossed.
there were 6 sections in the paper. each section had a different time limit.each section had different marks for correct answer and wrong answers. also once u have done one section u could not get back to tht section again.
first section was diagram reasoning. figures were given and we were given options.. questions were pretty tough according to my standards. correct answers 3 marks and wrong answers -1. total 8 questions and 12 minutes.
another section was quant(numeracy). 10 questions in 15 min. +3 & -1 quetions were not that tough. but i could do only 6 questions..
one section was data sufficiency. +2 & -.5 questions were easy. i could easily do 4 questions.total 5 ques in 8 min.
one sections was g.k. 11 quest in 5 min.. questions were easy. all from newspapers. i knew 5 ques.
one section was critical reasoning. 6 ques and 10 min.. decent difficulty level. +2 and -0.5
last section was rc. one passage and 5 questions. ok types. but i could do only 3.
all those guys who have writtn this test give ur feed back..

HI Dhir, No need to worry for the GD and interview...just be preapared on the current affairs for GD..they will mostly ask something which would have appeared in the last 2 weeks newspapers...also for the interview..just be clear about your goal..why do want a mba? why are choosing a particular specialization etc.. By the way what is your profile and the score u got ??

Newspaper reading is one of the most important aspects...apart from that u can also search on orkut for people who have already been selected and ask them to share their experiences...by the way what was ur gmat and cat score??

Out of the many options available thought I'd give this college a shot too...so here it goes...

CAT: First time attempt Nov '07 GMAT: Never attempted...if someone should throw some light!
So its obvious I apply for the Jan 2008 intake...or am I wrong? All I need is a little guidance on this...When should I take up GMAT? How should I go about applying?
Also, if some of you are currently studying in SPJCM Singapore/Dubai please guide me on this. Should help! Additionally, I had my own doubts with regard to placements...I know this has been discussed but I'm curious to know if the package comprises of say about 13L p.a then how much do we actually end up getting 'in hand?'
