Thanks for the info...I've recieved the mail regarding SPJAIN aptitude scores.... I scored 75.76% (percentile). My status in the website shows WAITLIST. I would like to know the cut off and if my score is good enough for the next stage? And.. when will the status in the website change?

The results for the test have already been send out to all the candidates, only if you meet all the criteria will the status change.

Hi Rutty,

I have received the scores as 98.63 percentile today (for the spjain aptitude test). I have 2 years of work ex in leading IT company and have already applied with the current status as 'WAIT LIST'.

I received the scores this morning. Could you please let me know that if I must get a call for GD/PI, then when would that be (the date of GD/PI). Besides, would I be receiving an email regarding this? By when would the status get changed?

Also Can you please tell me in the 2nd round evaluation do they consider the spjat percentile also or is that aptitude is only for getting a 2nd round evaluation round call and after that they only consider how well you have done in GD, GI and PI.
Please help me out in this.

Where was the confusion i can't understand i was under evaluation from day 1 and when u said that mail of evaluation might be in some other folder i thought i deleted that by mistake from trash.Anyways thanks for the reply, but one thing is for sure professionalism lacks in the SPJCOM admission process. U can hv a look at my appln. and i am very sure there is no point my being waitlisted.

We apologize for the confusion here, there are a mistake while the status was updated on the website.The reason why you didn't get the call letter for evaluation was because you were on wait list from the beginning.
candidates called in for evaluation get a link to choose a slot for the evaluation, only if the mail comes in your name can you do the same.

I do understand the frustration here but this is the decision of the admissions committee.

SPJCM admission procedure is on rolling basis, so the last date is exactly not the last date.

First a quick summary of my profile:

1. 10th/12th/B.Tech.(CS) - Throughout >70%

2. Total Work Ex. = 2.5 years
(GE Healthcare and SAP Labs)

3. Willing to give SPJ's test

I am interested in joining the Investment Banking batch in the December intake. I have seen profiles of current IB batch and found that almost all of them have either a commerce/finance background or they have worked on Finance projects.

In case I make into SPJ's IB course, what weightage should I expect of my previous work ex.?

Also, will it be very difficult to move to IB at this stage of career?

The total no. of seats in all the specializations are not fixed buddy.. It is on the range from 30 to 56 or less or more...

It depends on how much eligible students they are able to find....So if more eligible students are there, then there will be more seats and vice versa....

Hello,

I had a query regarding placements and choosing the right stream to specialize.

Since this course is based out of Dubai/Singapore, is it that most of the time a candidate gets placed in the city from where he is completing the course? To give an example, if my course starts in Singapore and ends in Dubai, will that mean that my chances of getting placed in Dubai is far higher than getting placed in countries like India and Singapore?

I have an experience of over 11 yrs, mainly in the areas of operations with a BPO. Which would be the right stream for me to opt.

Dear Sdinesh,

The cut off for the S P Jain Aptitude test is 75 %tile and abv,however you will need to meet the rest of the criteria s as well in order to get short listed.
Application forms are reviewed from time to time should you meet the requirements you will be called in for the Evaluation stage.There is no fixed time frame for this.

Dear Rutty,
I have scored a 68.84 percentile in the SP Jain Aptitude Test. I have sent the reference letters and I also have a work ex in Manufacturing MNC in Pune. Does the score hamper my chances of getting called for the evaluation process. If there are further more tests then I shall attempt those to improve my score. But as of now, does a 69 percentile pose a threat to me. I have applied for the Investment Banking.

To be short listed for the next round that is the Evaluation stage you need to meet all our criteria s .Should you meet the criteria the status will be changed and a mail will be sent with the dates.

Dear Gauragar,

The Eligibility criteria is that you need to be a graduate with above 60 percent all through your academic years, need to have relevant work experience, Extra curricular activities and the Entrance Test Scores(GMAT/XAT/CAT/SPJAT).All this is looked into for short listing for the Evaluation stage.

The entrance test scores is one of the criteria for short listing you to evaluation stage , once in the evaluation stage what matters most is how well you do with regards to GD/PI.
