The SPJ apt test broadly comprises of Quatitative, reasoning, Verbal, GK
the format is multiple choice questions with negative marking
it is just like nay otehr MBA entrance test and is computer based

No it is not necessary that your prior experience has to be in the same field that you choose to apply for.

Only universitites offer degrees any B-school or instituition can only offer a Diploma or a certificate.

i have a query...like u r sayin tht the students will be getting a GMBA certification and not a degree....will this be at power with degrees or PGDBA offered by Indian B schools or B schools abroad....i know its not certified by AICTE since the prog. is not in India.

Will this certification be recognised by coorporate...i mean apart from the ones which come for the campus

12th(Intermediate,AP) 79.8%
BTECH(CSE, JNTU affiliated) 67 %

Present salary :8.25

Work Exp: (3.5yrs)

Intern Project at CMC Gachibowli.

2yrs in Satyam as a s/w engg. worked on telecom domain for Japanese clients. Worked at client location(India) for Nokia. Led a team of 3 for 2 months. Was also involved in training and interviewing candidates for the project.

1.5 yrs(still working) in Freescale semiconductors (a US based product company) in the same domain. Worked with French and US teams as required by the project.Worked at client location(India) for Motorola. Led a team of 4 for about 3 months at the client location was also involved in training them.

I had a 200% salary hike on moving from Satyam to Freescale.

Extra curricular Activities:

-I Have won prizes in college for Singing, Quiz, Elocution.
-Participated in dramatics until I was in School and won prizes. Directed a couple of plays when in class five (;)).
-I was the MC for most of my college functions.
- One of the first members of the community relations team at workplace.
- Won Prizes in Cricket and TT .
-A beginner at photography and adventure sports(white water rafting ).
- I play chess (My biggest achievement being that I beat a sub-junior district player once ;))

Please let me know if this profile can make the cut. My AWA is awaited as I wrote my GMAT today. Do you think I need to rewrite Gmat for a better score in Verbal?

ELECTICAL ENGG 4.5 Yrs work exp, am working in DUBAI-UAE.

Xth-86%.
XIIth-76%.

worked previously in SEEPZ-Andheri and in a Norwegian firm as design/procurement engg.

am now in india on for commissioning a project.I am handling the Procurement/Design/Commissioning Sections.

As u said that only universities can offer degrees.But again as mentioned by you any BSchool or institution can offer a Diploma or a Certificate, then why does SPJain not give a diploma like most BSchools/autonomous institutions do.
With this GMBA certificate will we be able to call ourselves as post Graduate?
If a student wants to go for higher studies(Phd) after this GMBA program able to do so.
For a Phd we need to be post graduates for which we need a diploma/degree and not a certificate.
I completely understand the enormous industry recognition that SPJain enjoys but this is a issue which i suppose everybody here will be facing.
Also Say for eg after a placement from the GMBA program i wish to switch my job after 2 years.The new employer will definately want the candidate to be a post gradute or a degree/diploma holder.All companies have such requirements.
What will be our position then after the GMBA program.Will the new company even consider my candidature?

1 > the pattern of apt test as its only 1hr.. what all they will ask.. like approx how many ques and all
2 > In how much time do they give the result of the test
3 > Till now i have not submitted my application .. is it possible to submit it before giving the exam and then when i get my marks i will send my marks..
4> And one last thing .. if i sumbit my app in oct.... and if i clear when will the evaluation happen(approx)..

Hi,

can anyone confirm whether we receive a confirmation from SP Jain stating that the recco letters have reached them or not.??..I dispatched them on thursday..also how long does it usually take to know the satus of application from the time of submission...??...
