One more quick question.. can i do this course ICWAI in correspondence.. ?? Given that I'm currently doing my IT job, will it be easy for me if i spend some 5 hrs to study and how will be the placements for correspondence ppl ?? can i make it up .. please help.. i'm so confused ..


I would suggest you go for CIMA rather than ICWA. Not that, the former is not a good course, but CIMA is an international brand.

You will be able to avail the placements of ICWA; and that would be meaningful for a non-fresher only if he is a meritholder in ICWA final exams.

I would suggest ICWAI's institute will be the best..but if you are looking for private ones go with sankara in mylapore...this one is best for CA no idea of ICWAI..

I would advise you to contact regional/city of ICWAI. As such academic programmes vary from place to place.

Appeared for the march campus but was not shortlisted by any good company. have to appear for NTPC interview in june. Any idea about this, on what subjects do they stress in interview??

-Govt policies (FDI, Coal India related news of last 2 months,lokpal,budget)
-- Stats related to power sector
-- AS
-- maybe SIA (std of int. audit).

Also, do cover business standard, and either of Indian Express/The Hindu .

There are some sets of questions in the backside of the booklet for fresh CAs given by ICAI. Do read them as well.

a company secretary can has a good opportunity at banks like they can assist banks in diversified areas inter alia, depository audit,project finance one shud understand that 'p.o' can be used as an entry gateway once you get into this u can go for inter departmental promotions and secure a officer position in the same bank ]

Can accounts of a co. be adopted at an adjourned agm provided the main meeting was properly constituted and all other businesses were duly transacted(accounts was not ready at the main agm)

I am sure ICSI website has the names of eligible companies providing "Industrial training".

U can raise a query to them.
