Did you know that Tuck sends a group of students to the world climate change round table organized by the United Nations (COP)? Tuck is the first business school to institutionalize a course on climate change and its effect on business globally. Taught by Prof. Anant Sundaram, Business and Climate Change is a fantastic course that delves deep into the confluence of business and society. Check out the following link to read more about Prof. Sundaram's perspectives.

Ethics - personal, professional, and business - is woven into the curriculum at Tuck. Here's a conversation with Prof. Richard Shreve, who teaches the course Ethics in Action.

Tuck alumni are a committed lot. Not only did 70.9% of the alumni gave back to Tuck this year but they also are integral to the school's global outreach activities.

Many prospective applicants have asked me questions regarding the Tuck Global Consultancy (TGC) - exactly what it entails. It's an opportunity for students to solve business challenges facing a real client, at locations around the world, and in a time bound manner with real deliverables. How real does it get? How critical are the decisions being made? Judge for yourself after reading the following report on one of the TGC projects taken up in the past year.

If you thought Tuckies only excel in academics and career, think again. Extracurricular activities and working for a social cause are a big part of the experience, before, during, and after the MBA. Read here about a Tuckie's efforts to raise money and awareness for the visually impaired by going on an expedition to the South Pole.

How do Tuckies blend their passion and their Tuck MBA to pursue their dreams? One of my good friends Dan Rowe T'09 is a good case in point.

The mock-class session with Tuck Prof. Praveen Kopalle is tomorrow at ITC Maratha, Mumbai. Hope to meet some of you there.

It was a fantastic session at ITC Maratha by Prof. Praveen Kopalle yesterday. The fact that he made it a point to attend the session despite numerous obstacles along the way from Hyderabad after completing his Key Note speech at a conference there - from road closings due to Hyderabad Marathon to walking with luggage in hand in the hot sun for 4 KM to finding out at the airport that the flight was canceled to persuading another airlines to get him on board at the last minute - is in itself a testament to how Tuck professors, who are thought leaders and highly respected researchers in their field, leave no stone unturned when it comes to teaching, be it imparting knowledge to Tuck students or to prospective applicants.

My most sincere appreciation to Prof. Praveen Kopalle for making this mock-class session such a memorable event for the attendees. Many thanks to the alums who attended the event, themselves flying in from other cities to meet with Prof. Kopalle. I was thrilled to see the enthusiastic participation from prospective students who were eager to ask questions and engage Prof. Kopalle and the alums in conversations regarding Big Data as well as Tuck. Look forward to seeing all of the followers of this thread at one or the other receptions coming up starting September 6th. If you haven't already, be sure to sign up on the Tuck Events Page.

It was indeed an amazing session. Since many of us find it difficult to visit the school due to time/financial constraints, this was one way to get a feel of the Tuck classroom right here in Mumbai. Thanks Suds.

A bit dated, but very relevant interview with Associate Dean Matt Slaughter. Every faculty member at Tuck teaches in the MBA program irrespective of what they are researching and where their research might take them. The great thing is they bring their research and experiences to the classroom to share with the students.

There is no better way of knowing a business school than hearing it directly from an alum. In this info-session, Suds has shared his experiences of the Tuck MBA and given us the complete picture to understand why Tuck is one among the best MBA programs in the world.

Enjoy!!

The Tuck Blog is replete with advice to applicants. One such recent post from Associate Director of Admissions,  Kristin Roth, gives a rundown of common mistakes that can be avoided. A timely read especially as the application process is underway.
