I have a very basic doubt which is written below:
Adjectives by definition describe a noun. But a sentence in Wren and Martin has left me perplexed.
Sentence: I have called him several times.
Doubt: Here several is an indefinite numeral adjective(that is what is mentioned). But it doesn't seem to describe the noun "I". Then how can several be an adjective?
Can somebody please clarify this?

Can anyone explain why it is not 5.......:p
@bs0409 said:OA-3......Can anyone explain why it is not 5.......
we are talking about growing of hair.. hence it'll take singular verb.. coz it is just one process... I guess you got confused coz of the three adjectives that are used... :).. the VERB refers to the growing of hair and not the adjectives... just read the sentence now in your mind, you'll get it... :)
