To some extent, Morris suggests, the term AI has outgrown its usefulness. He notes that it was always a broad, fuzzy term, and encompasses some fields whose practitioners did not regards their work as AI. And while IBM continues to conduct research into artificial intelligence, Dr. Morris does not link autonomic computing to such work. "This stuff is real," he says.
Q. As inferred from the passage, when Dr. Morris says, "This stuff is real", he means that
(A) the things that were done under the umbrella of AI had no real value.
(B) what IBM is doing is superior to things that went by the name of AI.
(C) what was classified as AI was not really intelligent by any stretch of imagination
(D) the research at IBM is focused on the autonomic nervous system rather than the frontal lobe of the brain.

I'm confused.
But I'm a bit confused here. Because 'this stuff' (autonomic computing) is 'real' i.e. it is better than AI. But IBM also conducts research into AI. So 'what IBM is doing' does not necessarily indicate 'autonomic computing'. It takes care of AI too. How can option B be flawless? Does that make option A a better option?
