I too got recruited in TCS in may 2005, received my offer letter and even got my medical test done. I am just waiting for my ILP letter (that is expected from TCS-Mumbai). Can anyone tell us about the possible ILP dates for the batch.

Could you please tell me .When did u receive ur Offer letter ? When ( how many months after recruitment ) and where was ur Medical check up ?
Regarding ur ILP , I think you will get time ... If u are in IT / CS stream , then study Software Engg. else Just try to learn basics such as Data Structures , C++ or even some Java ...

Thank you dude , mt friends got recruited on June 12th in an offcampus drive and didn`t get offer letter till now . Is ur selection off campus or on campus ?
Did u get any emails from TCS ppl ? Also from where did u get ur offer letter from ?
( I mean couriered to u or collected from recruitment centre ) ...
About me I was selected from campus on June 2004 and I am joining for ILP on Sep 6th ...

I got my offer letter by Speed post from TCS-Ahmedabad. My selection was off campus after my Project training in TCS-Ahmedabad. I am a comp Eng.. What abt u? Where r u from and in which branch u got ur graduation..

I think TCS takes ppl once or twice in a region per yr.. not more than that.
For the 2005-passout students frm T.N Colleges, they conductd in july end in Chennai. I came to know this thru my college placement officer and frnds.
So, u've to be updated reg. these info's.
Also not only TCS recruits, thr are othrs like CTS, Infosys..
You can apply for these online in their sites by now itself or when they ask..
You can see their ad's in "THE HINDU".. mainly on wednesday's opportunities..
hey.. thr've been many 2004 n 2005 pass-out ppls still without a job..
so u cant expect the call for the test.. u'll be getting by june/july (atleast)..
I think they don expect a leadership skills.. they expect a well-communicating, flexible guy with decent computer knowledge if u r a CS guy. Else, C n C++ is enf...

to mba Aspirant : No I don`t think they include .net or java in tests but If you know these you will get an upper hand over other ... I`ll give u an idea , learn java well and also if possible do a project in java ...coz for training we have Java and a project in java...

Are you sure you gonna get the hostel acco.? Its batch wise allocation. And there are no City buses connecting the Rly Stn with the Hostel. So take a pre paid auto to this place called Kulathoor. They'll charge you some 70 bucks. Its on the bye-pass road.
hey cool MODERATOR ! ... Yea he is rite .. You have to call that no. mensioned in the Joining letter After Aug 27 ( for Sep 6th joining ppl ) . Then ask them where u have been provided accomodation . Get the name of the place ( bot name of hotel and place ) and get back to me then I`ll help . Okay... Did u start ur S/W Engg ??

Btw the hostel sucks. If you get a hotel acco in the city, you can have all the fun you want.

n whts there in the interview ...simply a HR interview or a technical is also there....

Check out the numerous sites on the net that have free sample papers for TCS,INFY,CTS...tests.. AFA TCS is concerned the pattern is the same-verbal,quants,reasononing..the questions are also the same..the data gets changed every year..Assuming that ur gunning 4 cat the questions will be sitters 4 u..so dont u worry.
YEAH n afa the interview is concerned, the technical interview contains questions on OOPS concepts(I am a EEE grad so it was nt that gruelling)..
the interviews are not categorised into technical, MR ..meaning you can get any type of q in either of the rounds..
the MR interview is more like a stress interview.BE sure u know a LOT abt thye company(statistics of the company like when it was established..the employee strength etc..)
Remember dont loose ur cool..u may not know the questions to some of the answers but be patient n polite..I saw some ppl break down/cry during the MR dont do that.
If u r lucky u wont b asked these q at all .. so it partly depends on ur luck too as to the kinda panel u get...
U have lotsa time to prep so ATB ..

Just wanna know if i wana prepare for CAT while working,how should i plan..Is training schedule very hectic,i mean will i be able to prepare for CAT while on job..
