I don't think CABM is a course, it's just a certification and no certification offers any placement assistance. This is what I got from the link provided by Vision.
Heard about some certifications that do so..so I thought likewise with others..
The courses that you can do: a. NCFM b. Banking varsity courses c. Finitiatives courses which are endorsed by HDFC bank, Axis Bank d. professional programs like CFA, CFP etc.
The first three are short term courses. Finitiatives courses can last upto 2-3 months (depending on you). NCFM courses can be generally prepared for in 3-4 days. I have no idea for banking varsity courses (altho they are also short term). Finitiatives courses have been introduced recently so not many people know about them (altho they are increasing in popularity). NCFM courses are the most famous of them all
The professional programs are long term (2.5 years min..depending on ur ability).. If ur really interested for certifications, I suggest you google NCFM, Finitiatives etc...
@finmark... Hi, as told by u ,i googled about finitiative and banking varsity courses but wasnt able to find any info about them.....could u pls gimme the link where i could get sufficient info regarding these..... i really wanna do these... thanks

Will it be a good add on CV before MBA?

The work-ex of a candidate is evaluated on the basis of the answers provided by him to the questions posed by the panelists. The name of the company doesn't hold that much value, rather the kind of work done and the learning from it, proportionate to the time spent working, is given much more weightage.
I don't think panelists check whether the work-ex shown is genuine or not, but I guess it's pretty easy to know it based on the answers provided in the interview.

the only reason companies select young guys/girls (freshers) is because they are too impressionable, are flexible and have no preset mindsets and would do any job that u ask them to..they dont have any tantrums like the people who have prior experience. ..
the bad thing is that they are really inexperienced and you would have to spend time on training them.
what u call as 'tantrum' is actually what experienced ppl learn by being in the field which they themselves too joined as a fresher.. job is not just about 'work', it involves dealing with ppl and one has to learn thru experience how to evolve your personality to be a better team member and at the same time a progressing employee. all this comes thru 'experience'.
i think freshers can be preferred for the reasons like flexibility (they are single, can travel, etc.) and comparatively less pay (obvious).
1) What should i do after the degree ( Non-engineering )? should i get a JOB and get some work ex( 2 yrs min. ) n then for MBA or should i go directly for MBA?
2) There are some universities in UK,US n Australia which do not require any work experience and they give MBA degree. Should i go for them?
3) MBA in India or MBA abroad? Which has the best n good value?
I would like to do MBA in Strategic Management or Marketing.
Please help me guys its a kind of A BIG DILEMMA for me! :(
I will be really grateful to the people! Please help me!
thanks for your clarification avinav....one more doubt... in some colleges(ex-amritha) they check the worth of the company...they ask to mention workex only from those companies which have a worth of 30million usd...is it the same for top bschools....or is there really a rule like that

No rule as such, everything's at the discretion of the panelists.
PS: Please quote the previous post. Following so many threads, it becomes easier to recall by seeing the quoted part.

1. Work ex will help you after the written exams. My personal opinion is that one should have work ex. Not only helps one in getting the best college among one's options..but also helps a lot in placements (but then that is my very own personal opinion) 2. I dont think those would be very highly reputed colleges universities..if you could post the name in the international thread..you would get some good answers... 3. obviously MBA abroad is better but it depends on the level of Indian college and level of foreign college that ur comparing..Harvard anyday is better than IIM..but not every foreign college can say that

totally agree with you but experience also brings feelings like "i'm too good for this" "i will not do this.this is too low for me" etc etc and that is what I call tantrums...anyways this is not the post to discuss behaviour differences b/ freshers and experienced guys..
